Back from the dead to haunt new houses.
Send me a hello if you remember me.
That is (mostly) correct, it is the one of the drum mags from the vehicle storm bolters, but it has been cut down quite a lot in depth, as otherwise it looks a little silly (IMO).Originally Posted by XenomarinesKiller
Anyway, no further work has been done, though I have spent (at least) 5 minutes staring at the weird head on those tactical marines and wondering what to do with it. I may have to sompletely disassemble (the head) and start again, as it definately isn't how I want it too look.
I'm too perfectionist about these things.
Also, a Dragon Claw concept model will be forthcoming for the Monstrous and Twisted painitng contest currently in progress in the Painting Forum.

Would that be the tuby head your staring at?
Then just make two fine stripes (flat) of GS and lay them gently on the top of where the tubes meet the helmet. Then press it down in between the tubes and in the ends. Then you've made the classical tube-fitting and your head will look great.
I too would like to see some of the Black Dragon mutations. Any planned, t? Will there be some on your model for the contest?
Hmm, who to side with in this epic battle. Well, black dragons, going by my username I am a black dragon. BUT those darned druchii use back dragons (guess who I play!). On the other hand, Kuffy's a dwarf and we don't like them all too much either! Looks like I'm sitting on the fence for this one.
By the way guys, the armies are looking fantastic. Good work.
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

Cheers for that, will definately apply this advice to the top of the head, but I'm more worried about the bottom section, I want it to go back into the armour at the neck joint, but that is quite hard to achieve nicely with the wire, so I think I'm going to have to remove it and either sculpt the whole thing in GS, or try harder with the wire.
