Righty a little update as things arent going that fast yet...

It's my CinC as WIP, I am doing the horses armour as black but highlighted slightly which is really difficult so any tips greatly appreciated!
The aide is going really well, I have finished his face and trousers and the other areas are at least basecoated and washed.
Other than that there is a bunch of liminatii that are finished and a handful more on their way (washes and touch up left only). The Istrian squad are next up and have recieved a basecoat on their cloth.

I haven't done much on my guard recently due to time and concentrating too much on my brets. I have, however, managed to due loads more to the CinC all I have to do now is finsih off his hat including the feathers and touch up his sword and glove then its onto the horse!

I also managed to get round to sorting out the turret numbers for that third russ. I still dont think of it as finished but its good to go atm. based a few more guardsmen but other than that nothing really.

Just an update on progress with no need for pictures just yet!

Well after my assurance of prompt updating life took one of those turns down busy street. I have worked a little more on my guard and shall be doing some updating for the new codex, I have my potentila new list sorted and it shall be an expantion of my PDF Istrians. to that end I have finished most of the first squad of the first platoon.

I plan on a valk painted like the chimera with dragon freehand so that is may sorted! but before then I have to sort everything else. I have managed to get soem more of the sniper queue done but have decided to put most of my guard on hold till the new codex arrives as they are all fairly rubbish armies under the new system meaning the Istrians are going to be used as the base army.

The plan is as follows.

Bulk out the Istrians to 1000 points with new toys like master of ordnance and a valk and some lovely stormies and two 5 man units of rough riders, as well as repainting my old conscripts. I shall then use the other armies to bulk out the rest of the 500 points in games to represent wars fought around istria and other regiments of guard reinforcing the PDF

So to come are:
10 converted rough riders
some more well painted Istrians
my high command unit finished
a valkyrie with some freehand
soem stormies converted up.

I've let this thread lag for far too long. Will be getting back into painting my guard soon. I have plans for finishing off a lot of my hassnians (the snow scheme ones) I'm pretty sure I have everything I need to finish them up so watch this space!
