I just got a new camera, so I thought I'd put up my current WIP.
This is a tactical squad (with an ultimate rhino conversion) that I'm entering in the local compthis month, there's still quite a bit to do (2 more marines, finish the rhino and make the display base)
Let me know what you guys think. The pics are a little big (I'm still learning how to use the camera)
I've added lots of little hidden tricks and gimmicks, like the removable banner that magnetizes to the sgt. And others I've yet to real. You can see the rest of the pics on my site in my sig.

Your painting is very good, but I don't really like the camo. I think it distracts WAY too much from the marines. I would use it sparingly, like on the rhino, maybe on shoulder pads, kneepads or bolters/chainswords. Good job!

They look great. but the camo makes them a little hard to look at and kind of gives them a cluttered look.
your obvisiously a quality painter, i do however concur with the other posters, it's a bit much...
perhaps if you made the camouflage pattern in blues? (light blue, dark blue)
I disagree, I really like the cam job. Sure, it distracts, but then again, it is supposed to.
Id like to see them in some urban terrain
Working on Eldar and Daemonhunters... for a change.
The concept is to confuse and distort.
This is actually the 7th squad in my army right now. I've updated the look compared to previous versions. But only in terms of detail. The color scheme has been the same throughout.
i was wondering from a fluff point of view if this camo is something your chapter changes when they go from battlefield to battlefield or is it something which is always the same (=they land on a desert planet but they maintain the blue colour scheme)?
because if it's always the same it might also appear on chapter banners and such
I agree with HeZu, some more individual chapters are a nice addition to all the Ultra Marines and re-release ones.
I like your scheme, but additionally I would recommend some more colours as well. Just the trim maybe. Something like the orange of one of the guys' cloth might look good.

I'm also a fan of the camo, I think part of the point is that it's distracting, if you used it more sparingly it would just look like decorative camo, which is not what I think you're going for. It would be totally awesome to see a couple of those squads all close to each other. Also, they would look so awesome in like a snowy cityfight, but I guess no one plays with snowy terrain beacuse it's annoying to make. Oh well great job anyhow
