Something I've been thinking about for a while but only just got round to doing.
Fluffwise, these are the fighting forces of Mars, who are sent out when a military presence is needed (Like recovering a titan from a planet under seige)
I read the fluff about Space Marine chapters having to tithe a certain amount of their gene-seed to Mars so that the Tech Adepts can check for signs of mutation etc. So I got thinking... What would happen if for some reason Mars never recived the tithe from a certain chapter? Well Mars would have to send out the Inquision definatley.
Mars Inquisitor (WIP):
But one inquisitor can't take on a whole Chapter of Space Marines all by himself. Who's gonna back him up?
The fighting forces of Mars, obviously
Lemmie know what you think

Like the fluff you hav made up. Also like the paint schem you have done, nice job
Only thing i would say would be that the guard men should hav resperators (sp) look more elite etc

I had thort of making a sort of army based around elite force of guards after sumting missing. but never got around to it, "all ready have 2 new armys in the last week lol" What othere troops etc will you be using?
I'm going to be using the IG army list with an attached Inquisitor and his retinue.
Ok, I need some help.
I'm planning 2 armies. The Mars Inquisitor force and the 33rd Mars Armoured company
3000 points each with some FW stuff as well (namley tanks)
I want both to share the same basic colour scheme (Gold and dark red) but I have no idea how to do the tanks without them looking pants.
Well, if you want to spend money you can buy a drybrushing set, not sure how much. But what I would do is find a good, flat, not sheen, nice red color that matches your army color and prime the tank with that. the gold will take a few coats to get done, but it should not be to hard to do. Also, a few things, What you could do would be cool:
1. Have the inquisitor and his Retuine
2. Have a strong amount of Imperial Guard
3. Have a decent size of Grey Knights or Space Marines.
This would give you a large amount of troops (IG), the Inguisitor, and some firepower/toughness. I think it would inspire some great conversions, especially on walkers. Here are a few tips:
1. You could make IG bikers
2. SM walkers
P.S.-Instead of continuing, I have seen armies with just and Inguisitor, stormtroopers, and grey knights. That works pretty well (plus tanks and stuff).
Anyway, someone with a lot of rep probubly has a lot more ideas than I do, so I suggest to search them out.
Hope this has helped.

My plans for my IG army are to base them loosely on the British armies of the Napoleonic wars. So Close Order Drill and Rough riders based on British Tragoons
I was also thinking of giving my veterains Empire handguns with the tip of a lasgun on the end. I'll do a mock up of this idea when I get paid.
With the tanks my question was really more about how much gold/red do I use?
I was thinking something similar to the Voystorian tank colours, but with a yellow-er (is that a word?) colour and a bit more red.
I've got a spare tank so I guess I'll experiment.
But any more hints/tips/suggestions are always welcome
Well, the only thing I don't really like about this is that the AdMech and Inquisition don't really get alone too well, they aren't the best of buds if you get my drift. Anywho, I think that this would be better if was more of a "stand in" army, using the DH or WH list as a base, but saying it's a kind of AdMech authoritarian force, [epic, booming voice] send by the will of the fabricator-general himself! [/epic, booming voice]
Anywho, that's my take, I was thinking of doing something similar, but until im done my vostroyans...
Oh, and just so ya know, you can't have SMs, and IG in the same army, it's either or...(but GKs are fair game, as long as there are no daemons!).
