I have already set up a blog for this, but basically im aiming to get 1000points of beasts done over summer, with painting up to a standard im happy with. Im hoping that i will be able to get pictures up here for feedback and comments. Im home in a week or so, so updates should be coming soon.
I finally have my first pictures! these three are of my army general, and the first model pictures i have ever taken. Feedback is welcome anmd appreciated, take a look, see what you think.
awesome work deceiver! im a really big fan of this, and intend on following similar schemes with my beasts, as far as the fur goes, a bit more gray, but still.
cant wait to see more.
too many, gave up counting. rough estimates of 10% even steven, 25% omg i lostorz! and 65% PWNED NEWBS! ^^
<Tossy> Crons are freaking invincible!
Here are a couple of pictures of my first Bray Shaman. Think i may break up the blue clothing with a pattern of some sort, im thinking over designs.
And a few pictures of my unpainted Battle Standard Bearer, made from a beastherd box, as well as my first herd command and whole unit.
I think they are very well painted, however, I have some issues with the color choice. something just doesn't seem right, and it kind of hurts my eyes.
maybe its that the grey-ish blue color and the regular blue color seem to clash and create a strange visual effect. I think that since the grey-ish blue is somewhat nuetral but at the same time similar to the regular blue, it just doesn't work for me. May i suggest getting rid of the Grey-ish blue and replacing it with a cool color such as a light opaque-ish green or purple. The horns may need a bit more brown, but a dull brown would be nice. they just look too plastic like right now. the fur is great by the way and the blue robe is very nicely painted. Just got beef with the Grey-ish blue and the horns. Also, it could be that there is too much contrast between the white and the blue, so maybe dull the white a bit so its not so bright. I don't know, can't really place my finger on it.
hope this helps.
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
for in strange aeons even death may die.
Nice looking goats!
I quite like the combination of gray fur and blue clothing. They stand out from other herds I've seen which seem to favor red, red and more red.
My favorite touch is the burning eye sockets on the Shamans staff.

Plaid! Be like Kuff, and use plaid on your beastman. I can see it now.. 'Now, stepping into the arena, at 254 pounds, coming in at 6' 5", is Gar...What is that? Is that plaid?'
I do have to agree with Koss...even though it may be the first and only time I agree with the kid who was dropped on his head when he was a baby...
Finally i have something more to show! In the below post is a picture of my finished Ungor, and also a pic of my nearly completed army BSB and Beastherd Command... So much for a 1K army, but ive decided ill be taking some stuff back to uni with me this year

and my Ungor
Unfortunately ive had to decide against the 'tiger stripe' pattern, i think that was just a bit of wishul thinking. When i tried it it looked ok, but not perfect so i decided to leave the stripes off.
