For the tan base colour, what kinda of spray paint did you use?

My current nid army is primed black, since dipping requires very little actual painting, do you think that just spraying the new base colour over the black would be fine. Or would it covor up too much detail?

Thx in advance!

And also when can we get a picture of this army so far as a whole, Id love to see all these models in one pic!

Keep up the good work!

Update? Probably a good idea -- I have been busy painting Chaos lately...

I was at a mini swap a while ago and got a bunch of Genestealers. All of the models but 2 are from the Macragge sprue. I also got a Broodlord to go with these guys.

The assembled and primed ones (white) haven't had the mould lines removed, and neither have the unassembled models. The 'stealer models have a lot of places where the mould lines are very obvious, and the intimidating task of cleaning up this number of models has left me ignoring it for the last few months... like I said, if there is one thing that is incredibly important with this technique, it's removing the mould lines!

Hopefully I can get some motivation and get these guys finished.

Well in that case REP to get you going . I know that with this mold lines are incredibly annoying. So get a weekend with time, Sit down and take a grinding run. had the same thing with my dryads so much mold lines it was just scary.

So good Luck and keep us posted!

Cheers CJ

Thumbs Up ???

I'm wondering... what colour are you using for the red? I know the skin/flesh/whatever it is is Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand spray paint but is the red citadel paint? I desperately want to try this but I think the Scab Red will be to dark and Blood red to light! Or are you using the tarlian basecoat (not sure on spelling). Question's that need to be answered!

DON'T WORRY!!! Anything will work, and look great. I have been using a mixture of Citadel Foundation Mechrite Red and a Valejo color, the name of which I cannot remember. After painting a bunch of these I can say that the particular shade of red is of little consequence, it all looks great!

Use what you have. If you need to buy something, use the Mechrite red, because it covers in one coat.

Post some pics when you have something to show! Looking forward to it!!

Just to repeat what has been said previously, these look great! A very similar color scheme to mine, though I use bleached bone where you have the red and on other areas of carapace, and my weapons are red, with the rest black. Would you mind if I posted some pics of mine and got some suggestions?

Nice 'fexes!

I kinda hate to ask, but did you 'dip' them? I can't see where it is...
