    Hello

This is my first Warhammer fantasy army that I have started to collect and paint.

I only have 1000pts Dark Elves at the moment, so the strategy is to paint the 1000pts before I will buy new models, otherwise I will just get too dispondant with all those minis to paint. The colour scheme is copied from Joe Sleboda's Dark Elve painting tutorial from the "How to paint Citadel Miniatures" book.

The 1000pts consist of the following:

    2 x Chariot
    2 x Reaper bolt thrower
2 x Nobles (converted of course...)
    20 Spearelves
    12 Repeater crossbow elves

So here are the following units that I have finished painting.

    Dark Elve chariot #1:

    Dark Elve chariot #2:

    Reaper bolt thrower #1:

    Reaper bolt thrower #2:

I am busy at the moment painting the spearelves and repeater crossbow elves, so thats 32 models. They are slowly but surly starting to get form, and I will post a few WIP pics later on.

    Cheers

My half-assembled empire faced them and because of their beautiful paint job the dice let me down. Great paint job. I can't wait to see that rest of the army, when it is finished. I really love the way you did the cold ones.

Um.. nice! I like the yellow and blue working together, as it is slightly unexpected. The blue seems to be kept minimal and allowing the yellow to "shine" through, so to speak, and that works well. I think this will be a very nice looking army of the battlefield. =)

One thing, I would say add something to the banner. Even the simple and basic runes (in blue) would make it look so much better. But nice work on the shield rack. =D

Thank you very much for the comment.

Will do - got the DE fonts today. The original plan is to actually add the runes after all the "production line" painting work has been done - hopefully this thursday/friday.

I was thinking to actually paint the runes in yellow - since the banner already has the colours black and blue on it.

    Hello

Well, now that the infantry is done, it is now time to paint the heroes.

So this week I will paint my two Nobles as well as a sorsoress model.

Will try to post some WIP pics soon.

    Cheers!
