Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm putting together a few decks, not really for competition or anything, and wanted some ideas. One is a scarecrow artifact deck, the other is just a generic artifact deck, kind of based around esper from the shards of alra. Do artifact deck work well? What sort of things should I go for?
Secondly, I've been using the Aura Mastery deck from the Shadowmoor expansion recently, with very little modification. Is it just me or is this deck VERY powerful? So far I've lost with it just twice through a weekend of serious playtesting, and one of those times was to the deck below.
Thirdly, I want to hear some opinion on this deck. Don't ask me how, but this deck just seems to work, and work well. I have:

35 lands, plus 2 mana-based artifacts, plus a few other mana abilities. Plus a whole load of other shiny cards (13)!!! (Its my deck of big shiny things) And a few (6) legendary creatures. I know its a large deck, but it seems to work. I've found the nastiest combo is having Darien, King of Kjeldor, both Palliaton Accords and both essence wardens out. I can take damage up to 19, then block the rest with the leftover shield counters from the Palliaton Accords. There would then be 19 soldier tokens put into play, gaining me 18 life from the Essence wardens. Rinse and repeat and watch the no. of soldiers grow exponentially! The Shielding Plaxes can protect the King and one of the wardens. Plus if one of them does snuff it, you can always Harvest him back with Teneb! BLAM!

All colors? If it works for you its fine for me...
(I just stick with 2 colors)
This Planet Is Murder
Yeh, for whatever reason it works really well. I often have the chance to have all 5 colours out by turn 3 or 4. Then it has enough staying power until I get the big creatures out and can just wreak havoc with them.
Hmmmm do I see a SIMIC SKY SWALLOWER or < I use this card in my deck
in the german magic: Simischer himmelverschlinder?!!!
That card is kickass!!!!!!!
Some card ideas:
pillar of the Paruns, from discession (for multicolored decks)
_ tap: add one mana of any color you want, use this mana only for multicolord cards
Kira Great glass spinner, betrayers (I think): < I use this card in my deck
just 3 mana and all your creatures have protection from the first spell in each turn.
(like dark banishing, or erradicate, or prison term) very usefull if you have 4 in a deck, because you dont have to use shielding plax... or somthing
And I would realy get some lands out of that deck... I mean; you only need 1/3 of your deck to be mana.
(1 realy good card for mana is civic wayfinder) < I use this card in my deck

To be honest I like the mana distribution, I probably could take some out, but it works OK like that and I never get landlocked. I generally add cards on the basis that they're a foil, or a big creature, or just a load of fun.
I don't really buy cards specifically for decks, I tend to prefer getting boosters and having a nice surprise.
Civic's are good, but again, I do get a lot of land out quick so its not a problem.
A german simic would be VERY cool. WANT!
My artifact deck has come to fruition. I now have the deck made up to 75 cards with Reaper king, Sphinx Superior and Sharding Sphinx, with a whole load of scarecrow creatures to back them up. It work quite nice.
Holy crap, I just realized that there's a Magic thread over here... So this is where you've been lurking, Enhanced.
That is one crazy deck, lolz. First thing I think when I see it is: YOU NEED MOAR CONSISTENCY. There's like a billion one-ofs in this deck.
No, it is not just you, enchants are epic.
Btw, what do you want this deck to do?
Two colors is definitely more consistent on the mana, even I only play with 3 colors, max (although I do play a sunburst deck, but that doesn't count)
Also, what format are you playing?
Just to comment on your initial thoughts AE:
I too am currently getting a scarecrow deck together, perhaps we could exchange ideas on that.
Artifact decks, especially Shards Esper, can be VERY powerful
Also my Bro has a modded version of Aura Mastery i think, cant wait to get home and give him some cards that i've obtained which will make it insanely good
Also, I recently put together a gain life deck, but it lacks any kind of killer punch. What do you recommend?
