Welcome to Librarium Online!
Here's how it is, currently I'm planning on running a DH campaign for a couple of people on the Lo boards and since I feel that we need more people for a good 'party on', etc. I'm attempting to drag more people into it by gauging their interests in starting a DH campaign here.
How it will work, the sessions will be 1-2 hour periods in a channel on quakenet, probably #LODH or something similar.
The date and time of the sessions is still up in the air for consideration between however many people are interested and what timezones they can get in on it...but it will probably be a once a week session or maybe a twice a week session, depending on the interest.
Campaign Style: A bit epic-ish inclined, I write little adventures out in episodic installments so that I can keep chaining them out and into different arcs, etc, but I typically plan for long-ish campaigns, after all your acolytes take this job as a career...however since it's the Inquisition there's a lot of leeway for having returning player characters pop in and out as their time/play constraints allow...
If your interested respond below or just start chatting to Savant in Lochat.
The first session, or the zero session, however you want to call it will involve character generation, the take on that is that you can choose a lot or roll for a lot if you don't know what you want, first off I'm going to let people choose their starting home worlds, (if you want an advanced home world scroll down to the rolling part).
The basic home worlds are feral, Imperial, Hive and Void Born, each one has modifications for stats and other unique things associated with it, I will let characters pick their basic home world.
Advanced home worlds are: Forge world, Schola Progenitum, Noble, Mind Cleansed, if you want these then you have to roll for them during the character creation process.
There's 9 skills: weapon skill, ballistic skill, strength, toughness, agility, intelligence, perception, willpower, fellowship, these will be rolled for with 2 opportunities for re-rolls when stat generation is complete, if you use a re-roll then you have to take the final option for better or worse.
Classes: Adept, Arbitrator, Assassin, Cleric, Guardsmen, Psyker, Scum, Tech-Priest, you can choose your class (given that it is available for your home world selection).
Wealth and fate points: these are rolled for normally, fate points are interesting resources that you as a player can opt to spend, or 'burn' indefinitely to get out of tight situations...they replenish their uses for every session, however if you have to burn a fate point to get out of a particularly dire situation then it is gone forever.
Misc, character Descriptors, you can choose of roll for them to get a more in depth character, the only thing that will not be rolled for in the DH rulebook will be Divinations, as they will be ascertained later.

Yeah you already know I am in man, despite my utter disdain for DH I'll give it one last shot with my character: Guardsman Demitri Korvichov, AKA "The Fighting Bear"!
Jaffar is in as well, I'll force him to reply here. UVan was but I think he is dropping LO for good over some issue, so we still need about three players guys. I consider five the "Golden" number, but higher isn't bad.
It should be fun, and be a long run. I look forward to killing stuff beside the people of LO.
I'd like to try if that's ok with you.
I already have a character all made up for a DH campaign that never got off the ground, so I might as well give him a try. Going to have to find the character sheet though, I'm sure it's around here somewhere...
He's a ganger from a hive world, a fast talker who is good at finding what people need. Definitely a "scum."
I wouldn't mind giving it a try, however I have never played a DH game before. Bought the main rulebook, and never got around to starting up a campaign. I'm thinking of rolling a tech priest.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
I'll have to consider entry. It doesn't have to be done every now and again after specific sessions on Chat, which I would be against since it would only limit some people due to time zones, and I personally haven't been able to get on Chat much of late.
My thoughts are that you wouldn't have to run it live. I've seen a WHRP game work out well in a thread format, right here.
So yeah, don't count me as in yet, but I'm not ruling out the idea *wants to use an Arbitrator/Assassin/Guardsman*.
Awesome, now we just have to work on characters and planning potential game times...
I'm pretty flexible on time always.
Is there an online hosting site for DH sheets? That way we don't have to write every talent and skill down in the forum.
Found my old sheet. He was originally going to be more sneaky and shady, but with a high fellowship due to being from a hive world the concept morphed in to a silver-tongued wheeler and dealer.
After all my rolls, class talents, sign bonuses, and XP advances you get from the start my stats are.
BS --- 40
Ag --- 41
Per -- 39
WP -- 33
Fel -- 40
Tech Use (at half value from hive worlder)
Common Lore (imperium)
Speak Language (Low Gothic)
Speak Language (Hive Dialect)
Melee Training (Primitive)
Pistol Training (SP)
Basic Weapon (SP)
Some interesting rolls like high strength(why!?) but super low toughness(oh man am I going to die). Game plan: talk my way out of problems; saving that, hide behind people who actually have armor and a toughness bonus higher than 2. If you guys need it, I can find it.
Aside from personality and other traits that I have already swimming around in my head, background stuff like where he is from and such will all depend on what type of story and setting this is going to be.

I'm interested in participating, if this is still open. One-hour slots are good for me, or we could run it on the forum, either way is fine for me. I've got tests for the next few days but I will see you in chat at some point.
I'd be interested in being part of this too, so count me interested, will try to be on lochat more to catch savant or tronics.

A nice quick character generator is available Here, it includes the advance starting packages out of the Inquisitors Handbook if applicable, the same rules from the OP apply though so be honest.
After generating your character choose the save option and send me the Sheet link to you character in a PM with whatever timezones you would consider to be your optimal time to play on Sundays.
the game session will be on mIRC and I will edit this post to add the specific room sometime later today.
The session times are looking out to be something like 2pm CST/8pm GMT to 5pm CST/11pm GMT, but those are still subject to a +-1 hour tweak for me...
Depending on the amount of interest and number of people split between major timezone differences I'm open to split the endeavor into 2 parties, a US/CAN group and EU group, if I can manage enough time.
Or if anyone from the EU area has exp with GM'ing and the DH system feel free to start up a party there, I can OP the DM's in the channel that will be used.
Now to get a DH/RT forum started in the Other 40K games section.
