Alright people...time for the class poll.
Vote for your favorite class and tell us why you chose it!

For me...I'd have to say Sorcerer (although rogue sounds so appealing). There is nothing like having attained a high level and having all that spell power literally at your fingertips. Walking unarmed and unarmored onto a pirate ship and start wreaking havoc...to make a simple gesture and *BAMM* thew house explodes...very nice.
Also it's the overall effect of having natural magical power that somehow appeals to me.
I might have chosen Psion if I knew more about them...sadly I do not.

    What's yours?

    Cleric.

I can be very good and heal the wounded, raise the dead, or feed the starving. Or I can be very evil and rain plague, pestilence, famine, and misery on all. Another bonus is if I was a high level cleric of the god of magic I could say to all the finger wigglers "No spells for you!"
The fire's going out...pass me another heretic.

my favourite class is the Barbarian, nothing like going berserk and cleaving your way through hordes of orcs and other nasties while still having some skills(wilderness lore) which can be useful to the party.

Arcane Archer would have to be one of my favourite prestige classes though, nothing like being able to drop your targets from long range with self imbued arrows.

I must first start off by stating that the D20 system has NOTHING on GURPS. I really dislike having a book tell me what skills I can have and armor I can wear. I personally like my GURPS mage who can whip butt with either his magical sword or his disintigrate spell AND he has good armor.

However, this being said, I like the cleric class the best. It's the most balanced class in the system because you don't completely suck at fighting like a mage or sorcerer but you also have a little bit of finger wiggling of your own.

Not to mention: Everyone loves the cleric, and they do everything in their power to keep the cleric alive cause they know the cleric has the power to keep THEM alive.

Love the ranger, They make the perfect assassins later on. I always go ranger - then take the assassin class, then take underdark sniper when I get high enough level

I vote for the Wizard. Much larger inventory of spells opening up a whole new world to explore, IMO. Just need to find yourself a good scroll merchant. Anywhere from 10-20 level wizard accompanied by at least 1 fighter is a thing to behold, especially when an experienced player takes the reins.

Personally I just find the Wizard more fun to play than the regular hack 'n slash/archer character. More replay value as well.
