Welcome to Librarium Online!
Decipher came out with this game to harken back to the old SWCCG that they lost the licence too. Good game, but I think that they lost their audience. Most people here probably haven't even heard of it. I bet some of you remember Star Wars though. Card games in general seem to be short lived now a days. Of coarse MTG will be around forever, but other games are around for a little less than a year and then they're gone. What other games have you sunk your money into that have been short lived?
Pokemon lol. Back when it first came out, like 5 or 6 years ago, i spent a lot of money on it. Its cuase at this summer camp place i was at everyone was getting it and i thought i should jump in with them. But it turned out like a month later that everyone just wanted to trade them and not play them. And now I dont know anyone who plays it, just maybe some who collect.
Back from a long adventure.
I realy hated the wars got put on "haitus". It was my favorite card game ever.
As for pokemon, lots of people still do play it. Infact I'm going to a tourny next week.
00:12:50-) (+Hard_Aun|sleepage) anyway, three months back i got out of bed and came downstairs loud, fast and naked with a club
Dual Masters was something while it lasted. It just got too silly, with an expansion name like: Evocrushinator Of Doom......
Got back to MTG ASA ^_^
Star wars was one of the first games I played when I was in middle school. I remember when it died and ever since I looked for places that were selling the few packs at dirt cheap prices. Wars is a great game and 100 times easier then the original star wars game. When I first saw it at this new comic place that opened real close to my house, I bought the Gorgon starter deck and the Maverick/Shi starter and taught my girlfriend and we love it.
I think most magic/yugioh players won't like it because it take alot more thought to build/play then magic. I think DBZ or Lord of the Ring playter might like it more because DBZ had the same "life" format where your deck was your life and I believe LotR had locations to fight over.
The problem is that not enough people like it, and so most likely Decipher will have to cut it. It's hard to get any kind of foot hold in the card industry anymore.
