hey all. this is my first thread post in the Rolr-playing section of LO, and it looks pretty cool. But to my question. Does anyone know about and play the game All Flesh Must Be Eaten, by eden studios? im just curious to see if it has spread its influence. it is set in modern time were players find themselves fighting the living dead!(aka Zombies) i found myself naturally attracted to it because i love survival horror settings and zombies!:w00t: it focuses more on roleplaying rather than fighting, but it can vary from ZM(Zombie Master) to ZM. just wondering if anyone knew about it. post any comments if you can. Thanks!
That is truly bizarre. I have never heard of it in my life. It seems quite cool but sounds like it could get pretty old, pretty fast.
yeah it can, but the thing that really keeps it alive are the players and the conflicts they can have with each other. it takes a certain kind of dm to really make it interesting.
Yeah if you had a decent GM then it could actually really work well as an RP. It would be cool but a lot of hard work to make sure it didn't turn into a "aaggh Zombie! Run away" or "Zombie! Kill them, kill them all!".
However if there is a GM up to it then good for them and good for role-playing
I have played All Flesh on several occasions with several different Zm's. It all ends up going the same way though.
"Hmm...What's that strange man doing wandering towards me and moaning, I think he may be drunk. Oh no, he has just gnawed my arm off, I now realise he is a zombie. How unexpected in a game full of zombies. Good job, I say, couldn't see that coming."
The hardest part is pretending you don't actually know that these people are zombies until they start feasting on flesh, then it is in fact quite obvious to your character. It's always the video store clerk who cries 'Zombie' first though. Then the game is a run/shoot/run some more type situation.
I find the different settings in the book fascinating though, such as the WW2 setting with Nazi Zombies. Those crazy Germans, what will they think of next

People don't usually visit this one very often. It's usually the beta and the online RPG forums they visit.
I regularly drop in to see if it has been updated. But it seldomly has...
I claim the title of "mistress of the vindictive"
