I wonder how many thugs it takes to make a Cult... Ulraan wondered, as he was 'stuck up' by three of said thugs.
"Give us all your money, priest. We've got you outnumbered three to one, so don't do anything hasty."
Ulraan smiled beneath his robes. Ah, to be so confident.. It's a too bad they seem so intent on dying. If I was a pure Genestealer... But alas, I am not.
"Are you sure you don't wish to join the priesthood of the Living Emperor? The rewards are great."
The biggest one stepped up, and tried to smack Ulraan across the face. He found himself missing an arm past the elbow, and he hadn't even seen the man move. He didn't think much after that. You don't when you're missing a head.
"Ah sh*t, it's a..."
The next man exploded is a spray of blood, and Ulraan was now missing his cloak, his true monstrosities open to the world.
Can't let him get away, they might report me.
The last thug, running at this point, was surprised when he collided with the skinny bald priest. He was less surprised when his stomach was ripped open, as the hand dug upwards through his ribcage, ripping out his heart.
Didn't even have to use my head...
Something moved in the shadows nearby...
Orion observed the man he had been following for quite some time as he crept through the shadows of the alley. Orion had begun following this man ever since he caught his eye at the bar. For some reason he didn't like the air around the strange man, his instincts told him something was not right with this human.
Now before his own eyes his strange feeling was confirmed. The man or what ever this thing could be described as had just eviserated three thugs he had been talking to. God was it fast, Orion could bearly track it's movements.
Had the creature seen me yet, for the emperor I hope not.
Clamly Orion unslung his rifle and hoisted it up to his shoulder. There was no need to adjust anything at this close a range.
Orions shot rang out taking the creature in the upper left shoulder.
Attack roll vs. Ulraan (1d20=20, 1d20=19)
The shot hit dead on, ripping the skin of the man to shreds, and a purple exoskeleton can now be seen, broken in many places by the shot.
Turning around, the priest cocks his head at you for a second, and your concentration begins to break as your brain burns...
Psychic Attack (1d20=10, 1d20=13)
"Oh balls its a psyker!" Orion yells not wanting to belive his own words.
He could feel the psychic needles pushing into his mind. The only thing that he could count on now was his own willpower. Hopefully it would be enough to ward of the psychic assault. So far he was maintianing his defence but they could only hold for so long.
Reminding himself reality was still in affect Orion tossed his rifle down and burst out of the shadow charging. In blind desperation he drew his six shooter and fired off a few shots.
I hope my size throws him off a bit, even just a second would be good enough.
Attack roll vs. Ulraan Turn 2 (1d20=17, 1d20=1
Two of the shots hit, each impacting with a burst of red blood on the torso. Breaking his concentration, he draws his pistol, aiming for the head of the ratling in front of him.
Pistol Shots (1d20=6, 1d20=6)
OOC: Great... I'm getting owned... :-P
The creature pulled a pistol from so where under his cloak and fired. Two shots went wizzing by Orions face. He could tell that the divine emperor had something to do with this. It was as if a shield of faith was protecting him.
Orion tossed the revolver away and drew his twin cleavers.
"I might be short but I pack a hell of a punch!"
With that Orion charged head long into his opponent. He raised both cleavers and slashed at the things stomach.
Attack roll vs. Ulraan Turn 3 (1d20=10, 1d20=6)
Now the 'thing' showed its speed, somehow being three feet to the left of where the Ratling had slashed. Now the thing concentrates again, burning into the enemies mind...
Psychic Attack (1d20=7, 1d20=14)
Hey guys, nice battle going so far and I don't mean to interrupt but I just want to throw out something to help you guys watch the flow of the game a little bit.
When you roll the dice in the notes section you want to put:When you use this format it is easy to go back and verify all the dice rolls as opposed to seeing about seven "Psychic attack" rolls and all that stuff. In the long run it will help. When the combat wears on it makes it easier to see.Attack roll vs. (opponent), Turn (#)
This thing was fast, impossibly fast. His charge sent him threw empty air, his slashes hitting nothing. Orion felt a sharp stabing sensation in his brain. Again with those mind tricks, he felt tainted just allowing that thing to have a precense in his brain.
"Get out of my head" Orion roared launching one of his cleavers right where he thought the creature was!
Attack roll vs. Ulraan (1d20=7, 1d20=20)
The cleaver hit dead on, sticking in the creatures carapace. It ripped it out, and increased the intensity of the psychic attack...
Attack Roll vs. Orion, turn 1 of counting (1d20=4, 1d20=6)
OOC: Yeah... I'm dead.
