As the last remaining ships fled to the eye of terror, there were still a few commanders who refused to flee and gathered together to continue the Dark Crusade. One of these renegade commanders was Kathax. At first he was only an Aspiring champion, chosen to lead a small band against another small formation of Imperial ships. Kathax's forces were victorious, and Herman Brisch, leader of the Sanctified saw his potpential and assigned him to lead Brisch's own troops. For few years he mercilessly crushed the Imperial fleets, showing potential in both tactical planning and close combat. When Kathax destroyed one of his largest enemy fleets, he settled on to a small planet, an abandoned imperial installation, defiled by the Destroyer Hive, to both reinforce their fleets with more tanks, more powerful weapons and more troops. Soon a warpstorm sucked the installation, thus destroyin half of Kathax's troops. Since then he has destroyed every single living imperial fleet he ever saw, mercilesly crushing them, even when outnumbered four to one. Before Herman Brisch was slain, he granted a Chaos Armour, crafted by his most revered warsmiths, to protect Kathax from any harm. It has served him well so far. Even still does Kathax wage war against the Imperial forces, recruiting all renegades crossing his path, thus increasing his already numerous forces of The Sanctified.
Kathax the Eviscerator
Sv +2 / +5
Frag & Krak grenades
+5 Invulnerable save
Forged from the very stuff of Chaos itself, this armour protects against almost any mortal weapon.
As much as a weapon of war as an icon of power. The spirits shackled within unleash their rage upon the wearer as he wades forward. This axe is treated like a normal power weapon with the addition, in the first round of any close combat, in which Kathax charged, he gains an additional D3 Attacks.
Okay so this was just a quick set up, I'm improving the fluffy part all the time and I made some changes. The Sanctified are just a small band of renegades compared to legions such as Iron Warriors etc. so their leader won't be a monster like Abaddon

+1A = 10
Power weapon = 15
Plasma Pistol = 15
Master Crafted = 15
Jump Pack = 20
Furious Charge = 5(?)
Ignores first wound = Dunno. Doesn't grant immunity to instant death, but in effect gives him an extra wound every turn. 30 points maybe?
I'd get rid of the master crafted rule though, as Chaos don't have access to them anyway and it's fairly pricey for a melee character.
I'm no way an authority on this though, and some on here know a lot more than I do, but I'd get rid of the master crafted pistol and replace it with a bolt pistol and bump his points down to about 175 or so.
Kharn is cheaper and better, as is Lucius, IMO, but by taking away a pistol you can vastly reduce his points cost and make him more gameable.
I can't say I've seen it all but I live for the things that keep me hollow.
Id say roughly 200-230

I took off the master-crafted rule. It just sounded cool on the Black Templar's chaplain special whoever. I thought and I like the Eviscerator name, Kathax in the other hand is more something else. How about Kamahl the Eviscerator?
I think Kathax works better, actually. It has an edge to it, sounds brutal and is prettu short.
RAARGH, post up the fluff first.
Sorry, this is a personal bugbear of mine, but if you're going to make a special character I feel that he/she/it should have some background before you get a profile and statline. It informs people why the character is as he is, plus it's fun to read...
If it ain't broke, it might need fixing.
The difficult we do immediately. The impossible may take a little longer.US Army Corps of EngineersMember of Advanced 40K development team (self-appointed)
Ok, sorry. I'll change the name and start generating some fluffy backround

Just a little tid bit: In 3rd edition, furious charger costs 15 points on a lord; master crafted costs 10. What's the reason for your character having 4 attacks and not 3? Just curious. Is this including his pistol? Normally, the +1A for a pistol isn't included in the base stat line.
Nice HQ. I'm leaning towards a point total of around 165. He's about as potent as Huron, but without as much versatility. Also, if you add up all the upgrades on any special character, the total cost is usually higher than the actual cost one would pay for him. Just something to bear in mind when calculated his point total.
