Training Session- Capture the Flag
Space Marines vs Space Marines (Ex: Space Marines vs Space Marines)
Two friendly space marine chapters decide to put a halt on their normal training and have a quick training session with each other, while they are in the same sector. They set up a capture the flag mission. Each side having their own flag.
All of their weapons are loaded with paint, so they don’t accidentally kill each other. They fight with blunt weapons, but are not armed with anything that could do real damage.
Return the opposing side’s flag to your side of the board.
-The movement of any unit carrying a flag is reduced. Any unit carrying a flag counts as being in rough terrain, and fleet of foot/ claw may not be used. If a unit uses fleet of foot/ claw, the flag is dropped before they use the ability.
--Units that move less than 5” basic (if there are any), may not carry a flag.
--If the model carrying the flag is killed, then the flag is dropped. Any model within 2” may pick it back up.
-Each Model is its own unit. In addition to this, each model, that is not a special character, may have an extra 50pts of wargear.
-No power weapons, power fists, or lightning claws.
-No vehicles may be taken, with the exception of:
-Two allies are against each other in a friendly battle. This leads to “cocky” soldiers. They would be more apt to try something they wouldn’t do in a normal battle. For this reason, before the battle, you may have one model pick one of these abilities. (Each ability has a built in draw back.)
--Abilities: Each ability may only be used once per battle.
--Sprint for the flag- A model with this ability, makes an attempt to sprint towards the flag. If it does, it may move an extra D6” towards the flag. If it does, it may not shoot this turn and may not assault any nearby enemy this turn.
--Distraction- A model with this ability may only use it if it is within 6” of the opposing flag. If it uses this ability, any opposing model within 4” must immediately assault it in close combat. (The opposing models get their extra attack for an assault.)
--Fancy Acrobatics- A model with this ability attempts to show off to their allies. If it uses this ability it gets +1 attack. It may only move D6” next turn, instead of the normal 6”. (They are tired.)

There's been quite a bit of speculation into CTF, but you most certainly wouldn't use the standard rules.
You'd need to have no squads, individual models, with restrictions to weaponry and such, and probably a squad leader (with a small amount of wargear allowance).
You wouldn't have a set movement rate while holding the flag, you'd make it so they count as in difficult terrain, and cannot use fleet.
This thread should be devoted to inventing rules for CTF in Warhammer 40k!
