I have Thought up a rule that brings out the detail on tanks in warhammer 40k.
think of an eldar skimmer flying full speed at a spacemarine landraider,
giving the eldar skimmer probly more of a tactical advantage.
i know there are rules on tank shook. but say that the landraidar could sit there and let the other player role for armor penetraition on both tanks or one of the two using a D6 rolling 1 both shaken
2 both stunned
3 opponent Imobile (because the atacker has the upper hand)
4 both imobile
5 enemy destroyed (role tank flip on its back the other direction
6 both destroyed ( each tank roles a scater dice and flip on its back )
sorry wait! the defender may role a 3D Before attackers D6. this role shows that the tank can withstand the hit. note the 3D defence role dose not benefit for skimmers, because they are immune to gravity.
ok now (HIT) means the atacker rolls the D6 and (RETALIATION) Retaliation means the hardend defender may role the penetrating hits on to the attacker
This is rule that GW Should take in for 40K 4th edition. not like the they are gonna take advice from a 16 yr old, but give me your Quote.
srry mate this doesnt make much sence plz give a little more info on why you would want to fly a tank into a land raider? :blink:
spambot kill tally: 79
[16:19] <@Alzer> Arky's right though
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> I know he is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> Sometimes it's intentional.
[00:01] <+zubus> i love you, ya skirt wearin nothern monkey! ^_^
So the Eldar, a dying race, are suddenly executing kamikaze attacks on one of the toughest vehicles in the galaxy, with their own rather flimsy skimmers? I can't see it happen...
Ze titles yez...

<Scary_Troopers> I see you as an optimist, GT. : D
But what of the midgets!?

I don't think you could be able to ram a tank with a skimmer and reversed, that would be most unnatural.
And also the damage on both veicles should be decided on their armour value. (the heavier veichle the more damage it can do) so you wont get an army of vypers crashing into all the land raiders they can find and making mincemeat of 'em.
Warhammer Fantasy: Warriors of Chaos, High Elves
Warhammer 40k: Eldar, Space Marines, Orks
I personally don't like the idea of ramming. It's a bit dodgy that the vehicle crew would suddenly and suicidally drive at another vehicle. Just doesn't make sense.
However, it could be used as a special rule for an army...

It's not ramming, so much as it's just sorta dinking them at three thousand miles per hour.
I don't like the rules set you've provided either though -_-.

Wait, you mean that optimism isn't fashionable anymore?!
Lord of Smart-ass Youthimizzles.
Soup's up, bitches!
That wouldnt work... the games wasnt designed for this kinda stuff and I personaly dont think that anyone would be stupid enough to ram stuff like land raiders or monoliths for that matter.
And another thing... borindarkness has a point... Eldar wouldnt ram tanks comon it has to work with the fluff at least....
I had this long signature made up, but I didnt like it...
I sort of like the idea but the rules are a bit 'iffy'.
Tank shocking other vehicals.
Only Tanks may tank shock other tanks. Skimmers may not attempt this attack. To tank shock another tank, you must move over 6'' and make contact with it. Both players roll a dice and add there armour rating (Using the side being 'rammed'. Whoever's result comes out lowest is 'crew stunned' for its next turn. If the results are the same the both are stunned.
This sort of make sence to me. Skimmers can do it since they would probable destroy themselves. Only tanks can, since an ork buggy would just get crushed by a land raider
A Promise to a dead man means nothing.
My last example was a complete miss and you seem to have corrected me wich is also good. and it is not unrealistic i believe there is crashes i the 40k. <_<
I think it would be better for only skimmers who have 1 weapon on them destroyed or something like that.
