Is he too over powered/underpowered? Cost too much/Too little? Any help would be good. Here are the rules for the contest:Oh his fluff can be found hereBut be warned it is quite longHere is what you MUST do:
Must be balanced and not to powerful
Must have wargear with own fluff
Finally not that important, with all access to Digital cameras and the like, please post a picture of your converted special character.
Frederick Von Carstein
Frederick Von Carstein maybe used in any Von Carstein army, if he is taken then he will be the army’s general. He counts as using a Lord and a hero slot, that’s ONE lord and ONE hero slot. He must be used exactly as shown below.
------------ M WS BS S T W I A LD
Frederick 6 8 6 5 5 4 8 5 10
Cyrus ---- 9 4 0 4 3 2 3 2 6
Points Cost: 750pts
Weapons/Armour: Wight Blade
Magic: Level 3 Necromancer
Bloodline Powers: Aura of Dark Majesty, Walking Death, Summon Bats, Shades of Death
His ever-faithful companion Cyrus always fights by his side, the great white wolf protecting him still, even in death.
Cyrus must always remain in BTB contact with Frederick; if he ever leaves a unit then Cyrus must go with him. Cyrus is a doom wolf but with increased stats.
If Frederick accepts a challenge then Cyrus will also fight too.
Shades Of Death
Frederick can use his summoning skills to a get extent; he can call upon the spirits of the departed when it is his wont.
This is a bloodline power unique to Frederick, once per battle he can use the power to summon a single spirit host base. The spirit host must be placed with 12 of Frederick but 8 from any enemy model.
In the early stages of his life Frederick discovered that he could call great packs of wolves or bats to his aid, many times has he thrown his head back and called for the brethren of the night to aid him.
Frederick counts as having the Summon Wolves bloodline power, but such is his bond with the creatures that instead of summoning D3 wolves he summons TWO units of D3 Dire Wolves. In addition he summons Two Bat Swarms instead of one.
Master At Arms
After being trained in the ways of swordsmanship Frederick strove to perfect his skills, and after many centuries of hard work and much bloodletting he has done just that.
Frederick may use is skill with a blade to use it in various ways, before each turn of combat starts he must declare how he chooses to use it. Each skill must be different each turn he may not use the same skill two turns in a row.
Through tireless year of practice and killing Frederick has perfected the use of his blade, his strength and speed are astounding and his skill to turn blades and get inside of his opponents guard is second to none but the greatest warriors.
Allows Frederick to re-roll missed attacks in close combat
His sharp eyes and blistering speed gives Frederick an great advantage, he can spot weak spots in armour or unprotected areas in his opponents.
Frederick ignores all mundane armour saves
A shrieking cry is emitted from his lips; the cry stuns those wishing to attack him. Even the hardiest of opponents are stunned by the cry.
Frederick strikes first, unless the ability is given to his opponent by a magic item. If so then they strike in I order. In addition his cry rocks his opponents to their core making it hard for them to strike at his, all attacks aimed at him this turn are –1 to hit.
Frederick still bears the enchanted blade he took from the Wight all those centuries ago, now this enchanted blade has served him well and many have found themselves on the end of the accursed weapon.
The Wight Blade confers the Killing Blow ability upon Frederick.
Liber Sanguine – The Book Of Blood
This blasphemous time belonged to a necrarch vampire long before Frederick, the master of the black arts wrote within in its pages in its own blood. The potent magic bound within still strong and powerful as the day it was written, the necromancer Frederick took the book from has risked all to betray his master for such a book.
Once per turn Frederick can use the book to cast one of the following spells:
These spells have a range of 12 and are cast with a bound level of 4. At the end of each turn roll a D6, on the roll of a 1 the books power is exhausted and it cannot be used again during the battle.
- · Invocation of Nehek
· Hellish Vigour
· Vanhel’s Danse Macabre
In addition the blood of the Necrarch vampire has left a great deal of power within its pages, and the book counts as being a Spell and Power familiar. But should the book run out of power then these abilities are lost.
Around his neck is a necklace of silk upon which are gleaming white teeth; these are the teeth of those faithful wolves that fell saving his life. Each fang has a rune of protection lovingly caved into its surface; they also serve to help him focus the power of his call. The beasts of the woods flock to heed his calls.
The fang give Frederick a 4+ ward save, the power of the fangs also help him to increase the strength of his Beasts Call. Instead of calling D3 wolves he adds +1 onto that score.
Where is this contest? I want to enter!
Catapultam habeo. Nisi omniam pecuniam mihi dabis, saxum immanem ad capitem tuum mittam.
Thanks, wow!! Now that has answered my question!!! You rawk!! <_<
Anyone with anything about my vamp?
He looks awesome to me, maybe a tad underpriced/too good. I maen, jeez, he could nail Archaon if he healed himself with Invocation!
Semper Fi!!! Emperor's Phoenix: 7/3/1
looks pretty powerful, but good for that many points.
question - why are all fantasy guys uber-ungodly killing machines???
also, what IS this contest???
"And whoever wants to be a creator in good and evil, must first be an annihilator and break values. Thus the highest evil belongs to the greatest goodness: but this is--being creative."
~ Friedrich Nietzsche ~
Thanks, he is powerful and has been toned down for the contest. The book has changed and I've dropped the skills (made him too much of a BD).Theey aren't always, but these are suppose to be. The idea is to make a damned unplayable character with your own rules/fluff etc then others vote on which is best. It's just for fun, and not all FB characters are. The game has been toned down from "Herohammer", it's now more about units the characters are there just for support really.question - why are all fantasy guys uber-ungodly killing machines???
The basic idea of the contest is to create a special character of your own for the FB game, they can be from any race but must have their own rules/fluff and must be as balanced as possible.
