Heres the idea. Kroot have a lack of ranged firepower, with the exception of the expensive krootox. So heres my plan:

    Kroot War-Walkers
    Front: 10
    Side: 10
    Rear: 10
    Ws: 4
    Bs: 3
    S: 6
    A: 1(2)
    Points/Modal: 65
Weapons: Kroot Gun and Combat weapon
    Type: Walker
Options: One member of the squad may be upgrades to a shaper at +20 points. This allows the squad to infiltrate, and upgrades his BS to 4. The shaper may upgrade his kroot gun to a Lascannon, at +25 points, a Multimelta, at +15 points, or a Heavy bolter at +10 points.
    Special Rules:
Signature Adaptations: The squad does not benefit from sig. adaptations.
Hypo numone technoligy: The squad may fleet of foot
Field craft: The squad benefits from fieldcraft and suffers from eaters of the dead.
Free move: The squad can make a free 6’’ move before the game begins

I really think these are cool, and handy for the Kroot. Besides the modelling oppertunity is great. I realise thay are costly - but they are an addition to the kroot army and if you dont like em dont use them.

A Promise to a dead man means nothing.

I really think that the kroot need some sort of vehical. Sentinals seem to fit the bill perfectly. Adept at jungle/forest movement - recon for kroot. Very krooty!

I don't think they should use imperial weapons, instead give them kroot or tau weaponry.

I forgot to mention that its for the Kroot mercenaries list. Nothing to do with tau. They often loot imperial weapons - just look at there armoury. Do you think it would be worth using them in a kroot mercs list?

They don't loot weapons they get given them and the Imperium are the ones they do business with most.
