I feel the need to get a bit creative yet again. Was wondering about throwing together some rules for Quadbikes for my chaos chapter, and seeing as my Blood crescents favour heavy weapons and vehicles over any kind of fast attack, It makes sense to replace the puny biker unit I could have with a slightly larger heavier variant.
I'm basing the models roughly off this idea - The Bolter and Chainsword - Librarium - Modeling Tutorial: Quadbikes : A 40k Space Marine Resource.
I was thinking rules-wise they could be Land-Speeder-Esque (I'm not too familiar with land speeder rules, I play CSM) But I'm leaning towards the whole Weak-stats open-topped vehicle thing, with options for some decent weapons.
Thoughts and Comments much appreciated.
I've thrown together some rules for them now. They're pretty much just going along with the Space Mairne attack bike rules, though with only one rider. Thoughts?
Blood Crescent Quadbikes
The Blood Crescents fled the Dark Angels with very few of their former biker cults, and asa result have had to maximise the effectiveness of all they had left. Centuries of scavenging their fields of victory, and modifying these arcane machines has led to them becoming more of a vessel for large weapons than their riders. Blood Crescents bikes were given numerous upgrades, the most common of which is a chassis modified to bear 4 wheels, and the additional of a large weapon on the back, usually a plasma cannon. The riders (or drivers, as hey have become) are exteremely proud of their machines, and strive constantly to perfect their ability on them. They have become somewhat of a legend from the reports of the few survivors to flee from the Blood Crescents.

Chaos Bike with Heavy Bolter
Any Blood Crescent Quadbike may replace its Heavy Bolter with one of the following:
- Multi-Melta for +5 points
- Reaper Autocannon for +5 points
- Plasma Cannon for +10 points
- Lascannon for +15 points
Due to the additional wheels and skill of their faithful riders, Blood Crescent Quadbikes may re-roll dangerous terrain tests.
I wrote the fluff while drunk, apologies if it doesn't come across too well.
Nice one. I might think of building such one.
Nice conversion! I like how you didn't over-complicate the rules on your Chaos Quad bike. If you were to use land speeder rules I would think you would have to model something more like an an Ork Warbuggie? (I think it's called that)
Have you posted fiction on your Blood Crescents chapter? (other than what is bellow) If so can you send me a link?

I haven't finished my version of the models yet, but they're in the works, I just need to get me hold of some of the space marine bike mudguards, and I'm away.
Yeah, I have a few bits of fluff on my chapter, done in part by Rafis117, so shout goes out to him for a fair amount of it.
What does LO think of the points value? That was the main part of iffy on it.
that really is an awesome conversion and looks so much better than a normal attack bike, I may try it and use it as an attack bike

Killed a Revenant Titan in one shot.
Killed 900 pts worth of Blood Angels in 2 turns while only loosing 4 pts.
In oder to get a second model on the there I coud see placing a small platform on the back and having a marine standing and controling the weapon as if it were a four wheeler Technicle. Just an Idea.
If your still taking suggestions..
Why not make the two seats tandem. The best (though tired) example would be the warthog from Halo.
An unorthodox alternative could be the top rear seat being the pilot who stears with a joystick (and something convenient in his other hand, like a banner pole or another weapon) and the front lower seat being the main gunner.
As of Tyranid 5th Ed. codex I have the Gaunts I wanted. I did, however, loose the sniperfexs I relied upon and they were more important then the gaunts.
