Default Legion Chaos Codexes

Hi. as i have seen on the chaos forum, many wants the legion codexes. so a thought have been building up in my brain. lets make them our self by combining the new and the old codex. ofcourse i will need help whit this project.

if anyone wants to help send me a pm. i have been thinking about begining whit the four major legions. World eaters, emperors children, thousand sons and death guards.

Personally I don't care so much about those legions. I feel it would be best if night lord, iron warriors and the other undivided legions got rules.

Here are some ideas for night lords as they are my favorite fluff wise.

Night Lord: Stats are same as chaos lord, options might need a few changes.
special rules: add Death and Darkness.

Death and Darkness: All 10 man raptor squads may be taken as troops and bike squads may be taken as heavy support. All models in the army have acute senses, you may not take any units or icons that are not undivided. Any unit of Chosen, CSM or Havocs may be given the stealth special rule at +3 points per model. The army may have the first turn of a game follow the night fight rules. If the first turn would already be night fight then they may have the second turn also be night fight.

i like this idea. and i also thought about making all 9 of the legions. but i wanted to see how many peoples that would help.

Hey...i been away from the forums for a while due to my computer exploding but now I am back and am willing to help out. Here is what I was thinking for World Eaters:

Army Wide Rule:

-Being veterans in close combat, the berserkers of the World Eaters are feared by all. Also, their bloodlust knows no bounds. As a result, every model has furious charge. If a unit in the army wipes out an enemy unit/vehicle in the first round of a combat, the unit must move 6" towards the nearest enemy unit. If this takes them into base contact, they count as being in combat for the next turn and any subsequent turns they remain in base contact.

Army List:

HQ

-Blood Lord (Chaos Lord with a few stat increases based on close combat)
-Blood Caller (Similar to a psyker, however all "powers" give benefits to friendly units)
-Reaper (Old Chaos Lt)
-Blood Prince (A Daemon Prince of Khorne)

Elites

-Chosen of Khorne (Close combat beasts?)
-Terminators of Khorne (Was thinking expensive, but ultra hard)
-Bloodcrushers of Khorne (Yaaaas!)

Troops

-1+ Khorne Berserkers (Simple as to what these are)
-Khorne Cultists (Seems like a pretty funky little idea to me)
-Bloodletters (Lets be honest, we all want to see a return to mortals and daemons together)

Fast Attack

-Khornate Raptors (Rivals to Vanguard...maybe?)
-Riders of Khorne (Rather than bikers, maybe Berserkers on Fleshhounds?)
-Fleshhounds (In if Riders are decided as bikes)

Heavy Support

-Devastators (Ranged but maybe the option to load up on anti-tank CC weapons instead?)
-Dreadnought (Oh i have some great ideas for this)
-Defiler (A harder dreadnought I was thinking)

i have thought about named character. and i have thought about making rules for slaughterfiends
btw what do you mean about the space wold saga? (i dont know alot about the pupies )

Army wide rule that allows them to consolidate 6" into combat? Seems very overpowered.

The 4 cult Legions are easy

HQ
Lord with mark of X.
Khorne gets extra weapons, Nurgle gets defensive/poisonous stuff, Tzeentch gets spells, Slaanesh gets stat boosting drugs that could inflict wounds and ld/ pinning stuff

Sorceror wuith mark of X (none for khorne)
Tzeentch one can cast 2 spells, Slaanesh gets pinning, movement spells, nurgle gets spells to hurt enemy infantry

Greater Daemon of X

Khorne gets a mini Lord to make up for loss of Sorceror

Elites

Veteran Cult Troops
Beserkers, Noise Marines, Thousand Sons and Plague Marines with special weapon options and stronger champion
Terminators of X.

Troops
Cult Troopers (as CSM) (mandatory 2+)
Daemons of X (as daemon codex except with summoning rules, cannot hold objectives, instability)
Cultists of x. weak as water, expendable, cheap.

Fast Attack
Bikers of X
Beasts of X (screamers, bloodhounds, etc)
Raptors of X

Heavy Support
tanks
dreads
defiler
havocs, maybe
unique vehicle of X


The other legions are just CSM with small changes
Word Bearers - more summoning Daemons, cultists
Alpha Legion - cultists, veteran skills for x points, Combat Tactics
Iron Warriors - Lord can take a servo arm
Night Lords - Night vision for x points, Champions have terror causing mask like DE

They sound rediculously overpowered.

Being restricted to the MoCU is a minor drawback compared to the HUGE benefits.

I would want to hope that they had a significant increase in points.





Alpha Legion could work in the current codex.

Restricted to the MoCU only, and infiltrate (including outflank) MUST be granted to the unit for 10-20 points.
