Hello again LO!
We just got done with a typical escalation league at the store where I play and we were considering what to do next. One of the best ideas was to do a planetary campaign, much like the original Dawn of War computer game, where we add more to our force as we go, attempting to conquer the world.
The only problem arose in deciding all the fine points of the rules and then I found that Planetary Empires (or w/e its called) expansion on the GW site.
Would this ruleset work for a progression planetary campaign? Even as a jumping off point for development of the rules for league?
Thx in advance.
It could work, my main issue with progression campaigns like that is there very awkward to run, you need a good group of dedicated gamers.

Yeah they are awkward to run. The last one we did was pretty straightforward but it only ran the standard missions each month and people started to care less and less. So we're working on putting a little spice in it to keep people interested and this is one of a handful of ideas.
