Welcome to Librarium Online!
Basically, it all started like this. A guy at my local GW was using his heirophant, and it was being shot ALOT with sniper rifles. Now, as anyone whos read the mass point rules will know (they're on the FW website under the heirophant rules) to cause mass points to be knocked off, you need to roll a certain number on a dice depending on the weapon, and most importantly the strength of the weapon. Sniper rifles don't have a strength value, so what do we do! One of the staff members came up with rolling the strength on 2D6 for the purposes of mass points, and then using that, but what do you think? Any suggestions?
P.S. I think the fact that it says in the rules "The strength of the sniper weapon always equals the target's toughness" means that strength 8 should be used against the hierophant, but i don't know, what do you think?
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.

I think if it doesn't have a strength then it isn't good enough to harm the creature. When the mass points are down and its on to wounding it could, but before that I think the hierophant is too tough.
If it always counts as same strength as the creatures toughness though, then a sniper rifle would go for S8, same T as the creature. Other weapons without strength (if there are any) wouldn't though.
for the normal wounds it's oke, just like other creatures, but when it comes to dealing with the Masspoints it bcomes quit difficult.
I'm trying to find this out myself as I know several of my friends also have snipers and will most likely field them against when the Hieropahtn with them.
