This rule, INJURIES, is designed for use during long campaigns or battles with a background of a great battle (eg. a larger battle spawning a smaller battle - the one you will play - with a portion of the bigger army being used).

NOTE: The things I have come up with are a bit dodgy at the moment. They need some work.

Basically, you roll D6 and find the result on this table, and they have the effects specified. This is to be done with the leader of every squad. In the case of a squad as an HQ, just for the main characters (eg. In a command squad, just the chaplain, librarian, apothecary etc. or a warboss retinue, just the warboss. You get the idea).

D6 Roll | Injury | Effect
1 |No Injury |NONE
2 |Arm |-1BS
3 |Leg |-1In
4 |Stomach |-2In
5 |Cuts |-1 to leadership of opposition when on charge
6 |No Injury |NONE

So, what do you think?

Won/Drawn/Lost (Only counting games 1500pts and over)

Space Marines -- Emperor's Legion (3/0/0)
Tyranids (2/0/0)
Orks (0/0/0) --Not Yet Ready--

try and find the hero injury rules from either mordheim or necromunda, they would work.

i think the hero injury rules from mordheimare in a white dwarf, 228 was a test version of mordheim i think, try white dwarfs around 228-232 they might be in there.

or you can wait for the living rulebook for necromunda to be uploaded.

Necromunda Rulebook will be here

I see no reason why they wouldnt work. I would maybe add, if a stat is reduced to 0 then the character dies and/or if a character takes a number of injuries equal to double the wounds they have on their profile they die.
They are out the campaign.

This way a Veteran sergeant can take take two injuries before being out the campaign, whereas a tougher commander can take more.

Well if they just died then you lose a great leader or the synapse that is controlling the brood. Also its bad for writing the fluff for a Campaign, Leaders can't just die.

Perhaps have different degrees of injury.
Ie

1-2 Severe Injury
3-5 Minor Injury
6 Insignificant injury

Severe injury: Roll on Severe injury table
Minor injury: Roll on Minor injury table
Insignificant injury: CHaracter Fights as normal Next battle

Not sure about the Severe and Minor Injury tables yet will think about it.

Also take same number of Severe Injuries as you have wounds you are removed from campaign, or suspended for 2 battles or such. To heal your wounds.

2 Minor injuries would count as a Severe for this rule.

Thoughts?

So you mean if we play a batlle and the only thing that has been killed is a warlock with a witchblade of mine my whole army needs to test if my farseers etc are injured? Srry but I dont like the sound of that for some reasons I can minimise my losses with eldar (Today vs alaitoc and tyranids only 1 warlock died in a 2000 pts 2 vs 2 game) I think you should roll for the sergeants that were killed in the batlle or if a whole squad would be whiped out. Otherwise models are getting lower stats while they havn't been shot at all.

However with that statement out of the way, I would say listen to ArchonBjorn. He has a really good tendency to not say stupid things and give bad advice.

There really should be a dead result otherwise it could get a little silly, a "captured" result would also enhance your campaign.
