Warhammer 40k Soccer
Each player has 11 Troop models one of which is your goalkeeper.
The objective of the game is simple;
Move your players up the field to score a goal.
Starting out by spacing your troops in their respective field positions.
Once that is done roll a dice to see who goes first.
The ball (imaginary, but you can use maybe a coin of sorts or even...a dice?) starts with the team who won the dice roll, one of their players must be in the center of the field. That player then gets to move his models (excluding the goalkeeper) 3" in any direction as long as they are not out of bounds. The opponent then moves his models (excluding the goalkeeper) 3" in any direction, he/she can even get into base contact with the model who currently has possession of the ball to attempt a steal. A steal would happen if the player who was attempting the steal rolls a 4+, but the model with possession can try to evade it by rolling a 4+. Now if model with possession is double teamed in base to base, the opponent would then need to roll a 3+ to manage a steal. Saves would still be 4+ for the model with possession.
Passing the ball would be accomplished by rolling a scatter dice for direction and 2d6 for distance. If the player attempting to pass gets a direct on the scatter dice, then he can choose which of his models receive the pass as long as it is within the distance told by the 2d6. If the pass scatters, then the ball goes in the direction of the arrow and the distance of the 2d6. Teammates who are in the general direction of the arrow and given distance will receive the pass, if they aren't in the spot occupied by the ball and an opposing player's models are, then the opposing player then gets possession of the ball. Movement then repeats itself if desired. But if the shot scatters out of bounds a throw in occurs, this is done just like in actual soccer, where ever the ball went out of bounds the opposing team gets to throw it in from the boundary line. But he only gets to use 1d6 for distance, while scattering the pass normally.
When you've moved up the field enough you can try to make a goal. To do this, the model with possession of the ball must be within 6" of the goalbox, you would then roll the dice. On a roll of a 3+, a kick towards the goal has been made. But the goalkeeper can try to swat it away by rolling a 4+. If the goalkeeper successfully stops the goal then that goalkeeper has possession of the ball. He can then pass the ball off normally. And movement occurs once again.
This process repeats itself until time has expired or the set number of goals has been reached, or until you get sick of it.
.....oh my god... it's full of stars
Its possible, but what if the opponent floods the back line?
It would be almost impossible to score.
