Welcome to Librarium Online!
Everyone can see that there are huge holes in the rules for 40k and while pretty much everyone loves the setting many dislike the system. what rules would you like to see, changed, added, or removed?, what frustrates you the most?
The thing that gets at me is the Hit/Wound/Armor Save, basically what this saysis that you get hit, then you get HURT from the hit but then you armor will save you??? Or in CC a Shas'la gets hit and is wounded, causing his arm to fall off, but like magic his armor fuses his arm in one piece again!! YEAH RIGHT! It should be Hit/Armor Save/Wound, cause then you see if your hit, then you see if your armor holds up to the hit, and if your armor dosen't hold up THEN you see if your wounded. Thats what I would change. what do you guys think?
don't know what i was smoking about the more roll thing, must be all the work this week. Need more gaming, less work.Originally Posted by MiketehFox

Disembarking units have to take IC's with (they all get out) but IC's can get out alone before group. Outnumbered in cc only works if you win? Figure if me and 30 friends were fighting 5 guys and they shot one of us, the rest would still swarm em and drag em down. LOS on most psychic attacks. i can move and then shoot, and move again if i want to cc, but decide to stand in the open if i'm not gonna cc anyone.
alright, thats the start of my list.

The 'must bail out' if a vehicle suffers a penetrating hit.
Ok, I understood the need to weaken the Rhino rush.
Can't assault from a vehicle - Makes sense in real life.
If vehicle is destroyed squad is pinned - Makes sense in real life. Rhino rush is now nearly dead, time to stop tinkering Gw....
If vehicle is penetrated must dismount - Unnecassary and makes no sense fluff wise. Why if a Rhino suffers a penetrating hit and is immobilised/has it's stormbolter blow off would the squad of fearless Space Marines/Grey Knights go "Argh, the tracks/little gun on top are gone! Panic! Bail out!" and leg it? They went too far, from nullifying the Rhino Rush, they made the Rhino a ridiculously pointless unit.
The AP system makes me the maddest, small arms fire in the open is NO different than small arms fire in cover, BUT if your in cover and a tank shoots you, the cover might save you. Thats a** backwards if you ask me.
how about ws 2 hittingws 6 on 4+ lets see someone half as skilled with a sword has the same odds of hitting a cc monster as anyone the whole cc chart to hit is idiotic
I think a great bumper sticker would be as follows:
Proud parent of a child whose self-confidence is good enough that he doesn't need me advertising his minor scholastic achievements on my carclick me
I agree on the ap one. Also, some weapons that ignor saves should also have an affect on vehicles, and vice versa. I cannot see how a warscythe can chop a land raider in two, but has no bonus verses a troop, besides no saves. I think p weapons should add +1 strength.
I agree completely with the whole hit/armour save/wound thing, it just makes sense to me!
Also IG vehicles should die instantly from anything! (Sorry, I just hate Leman Russ for all the pain he has caused my chaos marines with his stupid tanks!)
Psychic-Construct of the Codex necromancers design team
Books of the Imperium;
29. Thou shalt not use they bolter to kill bees.
74. Thy shalt not tip the Terminators over during battle.
leman russ is one of the only things the IG have goin for them.
some of the ideas i have for rules changes/improvements are:
units move 3+ armor save in inches (more so if they have jet packs or whatever)
cover adds to your cover save in varying degrees depending on how good the cover is, AP weapons only negate armor saves if they are lowwer than the save after factoring in the cover.
get +1 BS for standing still,
have different vehicle tables depending on what side you are hitting it on. (immobilized more probable from the side, ect.)
make vehicles move farther (currently they top out at about 8 mph, also meaning that if a skimmer crashes going faster than 4 mph then it is going so fast that there is no chance of anything surviving such a high speed crash (lol yea right))
