    Depends on how you want to play. Tau is going to be a very ranged force, where as daemonhunters are good mid ranged/CC. So all depends on your style of play you like to get in peoples faces and smack em around a bit, or do you prefer to pick em off from a distance.

    well i have an all combat tyranid army and a beastmen army and im kinda bored charging blindly into battle just to mow whatever i cum up against

    Then play Tau, because a) That's what GK do, albeit in a slightly more sophisticated manner (pshh. 'sophisticated' CC. yeah right.) and b) Tau literally can't do anything close to that.
