Okay then, we just need to finish tidying up the points cost/effect of upgrades, write fluff for the Execution-Kin as a unit (I know I already did fluff for them and the upgrades, but that doesn't fit them now they're a seperate unit) and finalise what Elites to dump.

If you take a look at the Warmachine range, there are some very good models to represent these guys in the cryx range.

For units to dump- Harrowed will be dumped. I think the Herald needs to be either dumped or changed. Iron Man likes the herald, but I think that they need to be changed... I think the point costs for the ex-kin are good, but maybe give them a 4+ armor save and a 5+ inv- they are quite expensive, and while we don't want them to have a 3+ save, we don't want them to die quickly either.

*takes a look at wights* I didn't realise they were so powerful.... We should up them to 40 pts each.

I'm alright with deleting Harrowed, but as an alternative we could make them a 0-1, maybe 0-2 Troops choice. But yeah, I agree with upping Wights to 40 points per model and giving Execution Kin a 4+/5+* save.

hey, srry i havent been on in awhile...

i agree with upping the wights to 40, dumping the harrowed, and adding the ex-kin. i think we should keep the herald...change infiltraitor so he doesnt kill someone when he appears....also if the fluff doesnt fit, maybe say he is an necromancer exiled because he was weak, he had to develop his martial skills to survive? iuno i just really like them

...plus i bought a model....*makes pouty face* it cost moneeeeeeeyyy!!! *whines until i run out of air, fall to ground dead, remember i'm immortal, get up, go watch t.v.*

I'm sure if we really wanted we could change the herald so it would fit better. My suggestions are we take a base stat-line, and then allow people to buy different skill and weapon sets, like with imperial assasins.

Well, that isn't so difficult, they already have variable weapon configuration.

On a different topic, when I wrote up the Execution-Kin I avoided doing options to represent Festers (which represent both drowning and being eaten alive by vermin- rats specifically) and Noosemen (which represent hanging, flaying and evisceration) but I did up electrocution, inspired by Horace. I was thinking, maybe I should do an option to represent Poison Gas, like Hermes Haight? If I should create it, what presents itself to me is that it makes the Execution-Kin Insubstantial and either gives them the Toxic rule of Lethal Injection or lets them always wound on a 4+ (3+?), because the toxic fumes they're composed of eat their way through flesh, metal and bone. So what do people think?

Once we've finished doing up the Execution-Kin as a unit, and everyone's agreed on what units to drop, I'll alter the Codex.

I kind of like the poison gas idea. I wouldn't make them insubstatial, but instead add +1 to his toughness to represent that he's filled with nithing but gas, so he's a lot more difficult to wound. Also, make it that when he dies, you center a blast template over him and all non-gas evec. kin under it take a S:5 hit, to represent gas kind of leaking out of him after being torn apart by lasers, bolts or swords, or whatever.

WOO: Don't all the ex-kin have to have the same upgrade?

As for the poison gas thing, we already have a gas type upgrade for wights so htats pretty much covered. Besides, I think we have more than enough ex-kin upgrades now. Maybe even too much....

If you don't think I should make a Poison Gas upgrade, I won't argue, but here's what I'd've come up with:

Poison Gas- +20 points: These are perhaps the rarest of all Execution-Kin for few worlds make use of the Gas Chamber to exhume the condemnded. However, it does happen, and so do industrial accidents, as well as the Necromancers purposely subjecting living beings to Gas Chambers of their own design to create these twisted creatures. Appearing as a ghostly version of their former self, wreathed in and composed of green (or other sickly coloured) mist, these twisted Undead relish the prospect of snuffing out another's life, and find it most satisfying to kill a victim by enfolding them within their poisonous embrace. The Execution-Kin always wound on a 5+ and gain the Insubstantial Special Rule.

Oh, and Phalanx; all members of an Execution-Kin unit have the same upgrade, and the upgrade's points cost is simply added to the total cost of the unit, not to each individual model's points cost.
