Default Codex: Domini Vulpes (Rules)

Wooo finally! I have started to put some of the rules on to paper after so very, very long XD

Basically before I print it all off and put it in a nice expensive folder, I want to make sure all the rules and characters are playable, which is why I need the help of all ye Online Librarians!

Any help, pointers, thoughts are all welcome.

P.S: Also bare in mind that this will only ever be used for friendly and fluffy story based games.

Chapter Master Mathias Renard – 185 points

Stats are the same as a Chapter Master, with plus one to the attacks, and +2 armour.


Equipment: Bolt Pistol, Terminator Honours (Bonus included in profile.) Artificer Armour, Iron Halo, Frag grenades, Master crafted power sword

Special Character: Mathias Renard is a special character. He may be used in Domini Vulpes armies that are at least 2,000 points or more. He may not have any more equipment from the armoury.

Independent Character: See Warhammer 40,000 rule book

Rites of Battle: See Space Marine codex

Command Squad: See Space Marine codex

Options: Renard may swap his Artificer armour and Iron halo for terminator armour. While equipped as such, Renard may still join a Command squad that is equipped with power armour, but will lose the ability to deep strike.

Honour Guard: Renard may also have an Honour guard of up to 10 Vulpmunden Storm Troopers. While he may not have to lead them, they must however have at least one model within 6” of him.


[p]Renard slowly and purposefully made his way down the line of Vulpmundens standing to attention with their trusty hellguns at their sides. He smiled. He enjoyed this moment. The moment he inspected them before battle. It always reminded him of the time the original members of the same unit came to his aid at the last minute so long ago.[/p]

His command squad had all been slain to the last man in a Tyranid ambush on Sen’d Lupe. He had been injured and was down to his last drum of bolter ammunition for his Stormbolter, fending of the rushing, never-ending hoard of Hormagaunts when he heard the shouts of human voices and las fire. Suddenly, from nowhere a squad of storm troopers had charged the Xenos, fighting them back with hot shots from their hellguns, and when those had run dry, some of the troopers used the bolters from his fallen battle brothers. But despite all their heart, they soon found themselves fighting for their own lives in brutal hand to hand combat.
He and the sergeant were lucky as they owned power weapons that sliced through the poorly armoured alien menace with ease.
The rest of the troopers however, were down to using just their combat knifes, though, to Renards surprise, a few had managed to heft the chainswords from the fallen marines.
With brutal determination and loyalty to the Emperor they saw the alien menace off. It had been costly though. His command squad lay dead around him, but again, to his surprise, many of the storm troopers still stood, despite any serious injuries.

Renard smiled again as he got to the end of the line as he remembered the original ten troopers that had come to his aid that day. Most were long dead by now. With the Emperor, by his side. But a few still remained, all be it wearing the green power armour of the the Domini Vulpes and part of his own command squad.
He continued smiling. The men in front of him, the troopers of the SVIG, Foxfire squad, may not be the original ten, but they would do him proud today. Because they always did.

Advantages:
May induct Imperial Guard from the Vulpmunden 9th

Disadvantages:
No venerable dreadnoughts may be taken.
Only one dreadnought may be taken per force organisation list and may only be taken in games of 1,500 points or more.
Only one terminator squad may be taken per organisation list, and may only be taken in games of 1,500 points or more.
