ok,here we are.the brotherhood of NOD take to the battlefielsds of 40K to preach the word of kane (thats kane,not khaine!) to those who will listen.NOTE:FURTHER UPDATES WILL BE ADDED,I PROMISE!
Why collect a NOD army?
NOD are a bit of a odd one in the battlefields of the 41st millenium-most of their units cannot stand up to the units of other races in one-on-one combat.they do have one ace up their sleeves however-the brotherhood have the most special abilites of any race and their stealth tactics are second-to-none.anyone wanting to field a army that depends more on tying your enemy up with a avatar warmech while your forces slip around the rear of the combat should feel right at home.
Kane (special charecter) 160 points
WS4 BS4 S3 T3 W3 I4 A2 Ld10 Save 5+/4+
Weapons - power weapon,"Mantis" Tiberium Automatic Rifle,Phase shield
"Peace through Power!" - Kane has such a inspiring presents that any nearby NOD troops are driven into a frenzy of loyalty. Any NOD forces within 12" are fearless.
Phase shield - One of NOD's many prototype weapons this experimental shield uses a Tiberium core. This shield not only gives kane a 4+ invulnerable but aslo reduces any attacks against kane to strength 5 unless it would normally be less then that.
"Mantis" Tiberium Automatic Rifle - a bullpup assault rifle firing Tiberium gas cartridges which explode upon contact with a solid object.
S4 AP4 Range 36" Rapid fire
Tiberium poisoning - Any roll to wound roll of 6 will add D6 strength to that hit.

Weapons: Tiberium fletchette gun
Options: a commander may take up to 4 black hand soldiers as bodyguards.the black hand are not available if the commander takes the cybernetic devices option.see rules for black hand.
A commander can use the following wargear (he may take up to 50pts worth,more will be added)
Faith Icon-bestows feel no pain on any units within 6".this includes bodyguards and the commander himself.does not work if the commander fails a leadership test that turn (for any reason!) 15pts.
Lazarus Cloak-a portable stealth field.black hand soldiers are upgraded with this automatically,but add +10pts to each model. +10pts
Cybernetic Devices-add +1 to strength and toughness.commander has we'll be back and slow and purposeful.upgraded with plasma cannon at no additonal cost.cyborgs become troops choices.black hand,shadow squads.avatar warmechs,kane and scorpion tanks cannot be used,and NOD supporters,NOD infantry and fanatics become 0-1. +20pts
Options: the black hand may have laser rifles at +10pts per model,sniper rifles at +5pts (which can be upgraded to have tiberium shrads for a additional +5pts) or laser chainguns at +15pts.they may have lazarus cloaks at +10pts per model.

Ultra Fanatical - This unit always ignore modifiers for being under half strength and can regroup even if below half strength.

options:one may be upgraded to be a commando at +40pts.he gains a plasma cannon and has a 2+ armour save

Special: unlike other plasma weapons,this vairation does not get hot.
NOD infantry 70 points per squad (10 men)
options: The whole squad may take frag and krak grenades at a cost of 1 point per model.
May take up to 2 of the following weapons
Rocket launcher at 10 points
Mini-gun at 10 points
Dragons tongue at 8 points
can mount in subterrainian APC at +50pts.

subterranian APC <upgrade>
armour: 10/10/10 BS:-
weapons: the subterranian APC has no weapons.
tunneler-if all the infantry in the squad are embarked abord the APC,it may leave the tabletop during the movement phase.however,next turn,roll for it like a reserves roll.it then deep strikes back onto the table as normal.note that unlike other units using this rule,the sheer bulk of the subterranian APC means that it is not destroyed by entering terrain,nor is it destroyed if it surfaces underneath a enemy unit.if it surfaces in difficult terrain,place it as normol.if it surfaces underneath a enemy unit,each model takes a single strength 10 ap- hit (so you can use them for dirty tactics with black hand soldiers).the unit also counts as pinned for the remainder of that turn.then place as normol.
Stealth Tank 90 points BS4 - Fast attack choice
Armed with a turret mounted twin linked missile launcher.
Stealth field - Any unit wishing to fire at the Stealth Tank must follow the rules for night fighting.

14/13/13 WS4 BS4 S6(10) I3 A2
weapons: the left arm is a system ripper and the right arm is a twin linked obelisk laser.
extra armour-this unit has the extra armour upgrade,and can repair immobilised or weapon destoryed results on a 6,provided it sacrifices its movement phase.
Robot-the avatar warmech is a robotic unit.it ignores crew stunned and crew shaken results.
The avatar warmech has the abitly to rip the weapon systems from vehicles and use them itself. The system ripper gives the avatar strength 10 in close combat and ignores armour saves. If this weapon causes a glancing or a penetrating hit then you may always pick the weapon destroyed resort.
Whatever weapon is destroyed is absorbed by the avatar and can be used in place of its system ripper.if it tried to pick up another weapon system,it will discard the last one it was using.
Particle Beam Cannon-80pts
armour 11/10/10 BS:4
weapons:particle beam cannon (strength:8 ap:3 range 120")
particle beam cannons can link together to focus and fire their beam.declare you are doing this.choose a cannon.if that cannon is within 2 or more cannons line of sight,then add +1 to the weapons strength and ap values.it also counts as twin linked!

Looks good so far, soon the codex will be complete and then the world will be blessed with Kane's rule.
Im glad you reduced the BS of the basic infantry to 3 just to give the other elite NOD troops something that makes them better then the rest. About the subterranean APC, 50 points just to deep strike a standard infantry squad that can't even use its heavy weapon on the turn it lands makes it a bit useless. How about you make the subterranean APC a transport that can deep stike after the turn it takes to burrow underground.
So as long as the infantry are inside the subterranean APC can burrow underground and the next turn can deep strike somewhere, the monolith can do it so why not us? Not sure what it should cost.
KOS,i have now updated experimental rules for the particle beam cannon.feel free to playtest.
I'm willing to help here - although I'm rarely online, so don't expect much from me. Also I'm working of C&C Tiberium Sun ATM, so feel free to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.
My immediate thoughts are that the subterranean APC should have AV 11/11/11 (it's got to go underground after all!), and it returns automatically on the following turn (as KOS-MOS said). Otherwise it counts as a lumbering vehicle (move 6", turn up to 45 at end of turn).
For the flame tanks, much the same rules. Lumbering, 4x Devil's Tongue flamer (inflicts 4 hits for each model under the template, melta effect on vehicles - concentrated heat!). AV 12/12/12

BTW,you do remember that brotherhood vehcles are ment to be weak!the only strong unit in the brotherhood arsenel is the avatar warmech,developed to be the mammoth tank's equil,and thus,is the only heavily armoured mech in the brotherhood.
