Okay, i'm not supposed too say this, and it is not a guarantee (nor was the rumour cemented), but i was in LONdon, Ontario, recently, and was visiting the local GW, when i noticed the manager and a customer where having a debate about forgeworld. The manager said he could make a forgeworld model with the right base Model, and some putty. i asked him about drop pods, and he dropped the hint that GW is coming out with Plastic Marine Drop pods:party2:. I almost collapsed with shock. If this is so, i am gonna waiton my marine army, and do a whole drop pod army.
Note: Note on the army idea, but on the drop pod idea.:party:
"Like frenzied beasts, they was. But I tell you, there was never a sweeter sound than the howls of the Wulfen that night."
Sgt. Pridman, veteran of the Tlax slaughter
Well, if they DO make drop pods, it would be about TIME.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
but if this codex redux thing is true, then droppods with be the current points of a rhino and not be a cheap effective transport.
Create flames for a galaxy and it will be warm. Put a galaxy in flames and it will be warm for the rest of it's existence.
Actually this has been semi-general knowledge for a while. Once GW have overcome their manufacturing problems with the Drop Pod design (whatever that may be) then we will see them dropping in (pardon the pun) all over.
Zriker - even if they cost 50 points they are still going to be the best transport in the game because they can place your troops prettymuchg anywhere on the board in foolproof fashion with no chance to be shot up on the way, then provide cover for your disembarked squad! I plan to get a few at least.
This should really be in the rumours section though to be honest.
I can also admitt that I"d buy one or two for Dreadnaughts. The idea of a drop podding Death Co. Dreadnaught just makes me laugh (it's actually more of an evil giggle.)
'An open mind is like a fortress with its walls unguarded and its gates wide open' -Blood Ravens
Heh, I'd buy those in a heartbeat, better than my 2-liter soda bottle bottoms. ^_^;
But I think this deserves a healthy move to rumors.
god drop podding furoso dreads would be NASTY!!
