Hi guys i'm new to the forum but definitely not to the hobby so i thought i'd start with a bang. Due to a top secret source from my local GW i took a peek at the new strigoi model8X. Absolutely amazing and it really does make the current one look a little crap. It looks very similar to the artwork in the current book, very bestial (similar to the werewolf like strigoi vampire). So it's almost certain that they are going to be revamped (pardon the pun) after the high elves!!!
awsome! cant wait. i was talking to a gw manager who said hes seen plastic graveguard and some other models that looks insane, but he couldnt tell me =(
Sounds intense. Plastic grave guard would save me alot of cash!!
Interesting. VC's were my first ever WHFB army, so it'll be nice if they have a major update. Maybe there'll be some sneak previews and info at Games Day, I'll be sure to tell you if I find anything out 8Y.
nice been waiting for these guys to be updated for ages, just wasnt keen on all the old and metal models :/ but if they get redone, then i may start a WHFB army... yay!

This is good news and bad news for me.
It's good because I'm interested as to how this new Strigoi model will look. I like the current one, and if this new one makes the ones we have look lame, then I'm all for it.
I also like the sound of the plastic Gave Guard.
However, it's rather annoying because I just brought the army book. I seem to get this kind of syndrome. I start to collect the army right before it gets redone. So I was hoping Skaven would be the next one.
The thought of a new Army Book also worries me. I hope they won't overpower them like GW has something what of a history of doing. (I also hope they keep the Appendices). Otherwise, bring it on:ballon:.
- VC comes next, after high elves
- Brian Nelson is the project leader for VC models, so we can expect a lot of fantastic models!!
Not much has been confirmed as rules go. I would expect the appendices to go away and to be represented by changes in the list, as has been the trend recently for all other army books.

I heard some rumours on a Dutch Warhammer fansite (GWHobbynet) that the Blood Lines are gone in the sense that you have no rigid selection of Blood Powers anymore, but instead one can buy all the Powers now so you can mix some powers from different blood lines.
Still a rumour but it doesn't look to unbelievable.
I'm not sure what to think about that. A mix sounds nice.
Actually, I can't wait to see the new plastic General. The Strigoi is probably that one.
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.
