So I have heard a rumor about Codex: Inquisition. All I "know" is that GW will amalgamate the three ordos into this codex.
What have you heard about this codex?
What do you want to see in this codex?
1. Inquisition armies should be more competitive
2. Keep the allies....please...please keep the allies ability
3. Overhauled rules for pure Grey Knights and Sisters of Battle
4. Ability to have an inquisitor take an all storm trooper army with plenty of commissars...this should be an army that is fun and also is competitive
perhaps there can be an upgrade for a unit of stormies to shoot a krak grenade instead of the smell gun once per battle. Kind of like the Elysian forge world army.
I am really looking forward to this codex: if GW does this right I will definitely purchase the codex and build a pure army of some type.
Please share your rumors and let us make speculation.
Hopefully, GW will realize that they have neglected Witch hunter, Daemon hunters, Sisters, and Grey knights in favor of their flag ship marines....
I believe that the old codices were way rushed. They could have been (and hopefully will be) way cooler with the new codex. The inquisition forces are definitely cool in theory, but I do not feel that there were enough options to reflect their potential in the old codices, especially in the old daemonhunter codex. A couple of things I would like to see as a result of this would be the maintaining of the option for allies as they are definitely a great way to add some variety into the armies and plastic stormtroopers would be sweet as well, though highly doubtful.
"Da mekz 'ave made you da best armour coz you're da best ork"
I would like to see.
3 HQ choices--all of them 0-1. Grandmaster/Master; Cannoness/palantine; Inquisitor/xenos (or radical) inquisitor.
1 Troops choice--Inquisitional storm troopers (radical weapon options available if radical inquisitor is chosen as HQ) [possibly add a guardsmen troops choice, but I am not sure...there are already a lot of options]
Lots of Elite choices--GK termies; PAGKs (may be taken as troops if HQ is GK HQ); Celestians; Battle sisters (may be Taken as troops if Sister of battle is taken as HQ); Deathwatch marines; All of the assassin choices; Acros and repentia (as troops with Inquisitor as HQ).
4 Fast attack choices--Dominions, Seraphim, FAGK, Infiltating Deathwatch/Deathwatch scouts.
6 Heavy support choices--Excorsist; dreadnaught, Landraider/crusader (make GK vehicle and upgrade...increases WS, or ignores shaken and stunned rolls, just something good); predator (with deathwatch upgrades available); Retrebuter Squad, Deathwatch devastators.
If a radical Inquisitor is taken, no GKs may be used; however alien technology will be allowed for deathwatch marines, and stormtroopers.
I think this allows for an army that is balanced within the inqiusition, and also allows you to take your own branch of the inquisition into combat.
A Codex Inquisition would be nice, as then the Ordos would actually get some love from GW, but I pray to God that they don't mess up sisters. I personally feel that they are one of the most balanced and well thought up troops, and removing their Acts of Faith or making them childishly simple would lead to me dropping out of GW.
Don't forget the Deathwatch Captain and Librarian.
Anyway, it'd certainly be interesting on how they'd manage all three into one book.
I think that most likely we'll see all Grey Knights will be Elites, considering their kit. Deathwatch Marines may also join them, but I wouldn't be surprised if they remained troops.
I'm sure I can sit down and think of something.
Just a quick note that commissars with storm troopers don't seem to make any sense to me ... unless I'm missing a bit of fluff they aren't exactly the cowardly folks in need of a pistol at their backs at all.

I really like the idea, that the army composition is determined by the HQ you choose. i think that they should keep the henchmen and things that require an inquisitor to be the same, cause right now, the witchhunters and daemonhunters are slightly differnt in terms of what they can choose. i want my GK to be able to choose arco flagelents.
another thing that i would like to be added to GK. the ability to ignore invuln saves in cc, because we can do that at rage really good, but in cc, against daemons, they still get their saves. bloodletters are the death of us. i would really like to see the daemonhammer or an annointed weapon get to ignore invuln saves. plus, i would like to see some dramatic item that a grand master could take, that costs like 75 pts, but allows him and his squad to ignore invuln saves in combat. that way, they are more feared, cause your facing a lot of power weapon attacks that also ignore invuln saves, so daemons beware. i mean with the new chaos codex, and how all lesser daemons just get a 5+ invuln, it makes it somewhat easier to kill them, but im just saying for when they come out with the daemon codex next year.
i really hope they expand the armory, give more abilities to grey knights, and fix the shroud so its a little harder to hit, like roll 2d6 and mulitply by 4. that way you get between 8 and 48 inches. that way, they will be somewhat more survivable, and any weapon that shoots beyond a lascannon cant hit them, and i like that(earthshaker, leman russ, fire prism, etc.)
also, i want the purigtron squad to be somewhat better. instead of only being able to use psycannons and incinerators, i would like them to be able to get some other special weapons. like some psycannon that hits like a krak missile thats heavy 2. that would be sweet, cause then you eliminate marines a lot better that way. also, for some reason i would like for their to be GK snipers. just because i think that it would be sweet in every fashion.
If they follow the trend (which they likely will, thats why its called a trend) of mass simplification like they have in recent codex releases I don't think I enjoy my Witch Hunters as much. I like the way my sisters play now but with the update of chaos I suppose they'll have to play with Daemon Hunters.
i'd like to see an all deathwatch list.
