Dang it, I already own 40 grave guard, but if that model is representative of new plastic ones, I'm going to have to get some of them.
I think the bat beast vampire looks neat. It's certainly an improvement over the current strigoi models, but it looks far more beastly then vampirey, if that is a word. I could see someone fielding three of them as fell bats rather then a vampire lord.
But its good though as the striogi are ment to be more supernatural beast than vampire, although somtimes a fail to see the difference, any ideas when the new book is due?
i love zombies.

Holy crap they are great. Look at the detail on the Blood Dragon. Thats a very good Grave Guard as well... especially if it is plastic. A while ago i promised myself that i would collect a fantasy army... i think i found it. Any idea if there are going to be new basic Skeletons?

Not a huge fan of that Strigoi or GG model. I think that Strigoi model will only come to life with a superb paint job, anything less I imagine would look rather lame.
I like the Blood Dragon model. However, I think sword looks a bit too 'human/good', like something you would Expect a Bretonnian or Empire Knight to wield.
Then again, I suppose it being plain is a nice step away from the Cliche crap. I sometimes feel GW has way too many skulls & severed heads etc..too cliche.
Go plain sword!

Some of the new models look very exciting
A Strigoi Vampire! That would make sense - I saw these pictures elsewhere and was trying to work out if it was some kind of Winged Dire Wolf, or a Fell Bat, or some horrible cross-breed of the two afore-mentioned beasties.
@ Legionnaire: I have heard that there aren't plans to redo Skeletons, but I have no idea where that info cam from (well, it came from my brother, but I have no idea where he got it from...)
The Blood Dragon looks pretty good - Not sure about those giant horn-like things on his back, but I haven't really seen a good shot of the back of the model yet. And that Scythe looks a bit odd, come to think of it...
I don't know why I'm complaining, though... We're getting new models! Yay! I look forward to seeing what else crops up in the next few months...
Cheers for the pics!
I don't think the Strigoi model is all it was cracked up to be. Cool pose, yes but there had better be another one of those models. I think it looks too flat, with poor detail, and the mouth reminds me of the Fell Bats. Not so great.
However, that Blood Dragon model...
Aside from the Vampire himself looking feeble, I think I've found myself a Bloodline unless GW has sculpted a better vC, Lahmian or Necrach. Very cool detail, looks fun to paint, and an excellent pose. Also it looks as though it would actually rank up;o.
Finally, the Grave Guard model looks as though GW melted a candle and quickly morphed it into a slightly-resembling shape, for whatever reason. Oh dear. I think I'd better go out and buy some before the new Book comes out.
Slightly disappointed with these models to tell the truth.
I don't really like the Strigoi either.. It looks too blobby to me, and seems to lack detail. It is the model for a new special character though.
I'm not a huge fan of those plastic grave guard either. I'd have to see them painted up and in a unit, they would probably look good.
I have heard that the game designers at GD UK said new skeletons were in order, and they are going to be smaller so they actually look like they could have come out of an empire model.
