I was going to speculate on this today, but I actually came across a confirming link to Warseer stating that FW are going to be doing variant kits for the new plastic baneblade kit.
Unfortunately I can't check the thread as I can't access Warseer from work, it is blocked by the company firewall (LO is obviously marked as a superior forum well known as being beyond doubt).
Predictable (if FW want to keep making money that is) but nice to have it confirmed nontheless! I look forward to seeing them!
I will post links / pics when I get home if noone adds them here first!
Update: Apologies, I completely missed this thread (baneblade conversion kits) before posting this. I seem to have lost the ability to spot new thread for some reason. Mods, feel free to close this thread and/or put me on scrubbing duty with the servitors!
I would credit this image, but I've seen it on so many different sites I can't be sure of the source. If anyone knows exactly who took the snap let me know and I will update the thread to give them their due.
On a side note, I can't believe I didn't notice this at Games Day! Reaver was taking all of my attention obviously...
damn that's cool, i think this is the bestestest baneblade variant you can make!
It looks good but even considering the amount of plastic on it, I think it's going to end up being pretty damn expensive! There's a lot of resin on show there!
I'm not a fan of the lascannon sponsons being just blocked off like that, I think they should have left them off altogether.
Still it's better than the Shadowsword Conversion Kit I haven't made, so I can't complain really!
Those upper sponson mounts are meant to be targeters or something. As crispcarter said, they are on the original forgeworld model and are meant to be there
But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
