This is a list of the planned releases for this year. This info has been gleaned from several sources, some of it is still vague but should give an indication of what is to be expected..
March- Vampire counts will be getting an entirely new range of models including a large number of plastic models.
June- Mordor book for Lord of the Rings. New releases include a new plastic troll, Morgul Knights, Black Numenoreans and possibly a new orc sprue to replace the current one.
July- New 40K rule book. There has been some hot debated about this topic with the rules
July/August- There will also be chapter approved article for Hordes of Chaos. This should include several points revisions and give an indication for the points costs in the new book later on this year.
August- Dark Elves army book. Several rumours regarding this include Witch Elves never loosing their frenzy. The army will get hatred against all enemies and Eternal Hatred against High Elves.
September- New Battle for Macragge boxed set. Basically pretty much th e same as it is now except it will take into account the new rules.
October- New Space Marines Codex. This will bring the points cost in the Spacemarine codex in line with the Dark Angels and the Blood Angels.
November- Hordes of Chaos army book. Expect plastic chaos knights, a new chaos warrior sprue with all the weapons options, a plastic chaos chariot and some plastic character sets.
December- Planetstrike rule book released. This is not confirmed yet but it fits in with what I have been hearing.
To be certain this is pretty much a busy year for fantasy battle with vampire counts, Daemons of Chaos, Hordes of Chaos and Dark Elves all getting a revision. For 40K it is pretty much the new rules and the new spacemarine codex that will be hogging the limelight. Overall this shall be an interesting year.
Basically life sucks, there is only war and you're probably gonna get eaten by Tyranids, have fun.
Jared's info, on the other hand is very useful to know. I hope they do manage to pack that much into one year, I'm a bit doubtful we will see all of it this year, but that's just because I don't trust GW to bring out lots of releases in quick succession.
And also, you say at the end that there is going to be a daemons of chaos book, but there isnt a date for it ..... that bit got me slightly confused. Or am i just missing something ;?

*Sigh* *grumble* *sigh*October- New Space Marines Codex. This will bring the points cost in the Spacemarine codex in line with the Dark Angels and the Blood Angels.
Seems like none space marine players would be annoyed with this, as other codexes need updates more than space marines.
1. GW's Flagship Army (and with 5th coming out), whose sales fund the work on all the other armies (especially in light of GW's financial trouble, consider this a "shot in the arm").
2. More Importantly, becoming overpowered in tournament play since other armies are having cost increases and changes (for example, the BA / DA powerfist cost).
I would love to see IG, DE, 'Cron codices as well, but I see GW's side in this as well, satisfying their bottom line and their hardcore players.
Tekore, I completely agree with what you said, but also I think it is pretty well accepted that the new SM codex is a “light” update (mainly bringing costs in line with other dexes and a few add ins) rather then a whole revamp like the DE, SW, & Necron are likely to be so it there for they can knock it out and get some financial & player benefit from it while they work on the others.
Primary Army: Tyranids; Secondary Army: Space Wolves
It's Illeagle, but it' s not that illeagle. - John Public
GW's financial troubles are going to continue as a result of the way they are going about things like 40k, releasing a new ruleset instead of continuously updated army lists and new supplements. Updating DE or IG or Witchhunters/Demonhunters in that 40k 5th edition slot instead of the new rules would make the year more profitable.
Needless to say, it is an accurate judgment that they are doing it / SM with the INTENT of boosting sales, at least.
