There was some talk a looong time ago about a possible Inquisition Codex. Well, GW just combined (unless it was some time ago) their WH and DH sections in the online store under one, "The Inquisition" title. A sign of things to come?
I noticed this too, i don't think it's a sign of a new codex, i fear it's a sign that WH and DH are being removed
Heck - if they drop WH I am switching over to... any other mini-game that I will like. Helldorado has some sweeet miniatures that I'd love to paint... Seriously though - HOW COULD YOU cut Inquisition out of the 40K world?!? Heresy!!!
PS. I second the idea about redoing the whole site...
I find it almost impossible to believe that, based on their current design philosophy, that we'll every see seperate Ordos books again.
If they actually ever get around to a 5th edition Codex, it will be Inquisition only:
- We MIGHT get lucky and have Sisters or Grey Knights as the basic troops choices (plus Stormtroopers)
More likely, you will have to take a warboss, I mean special character, to allow them to be taken as Troops.
- "Allies" rules will be completely gone. If they include IG types of armor, they will be fully statts in the book, probably as militia or planetary guard.
- The Heavy section will either suck, or have somthing strange in it that uses a new model.
- No more faith points. If a child can't calculate it on a napkin, it is gone.
Our only hope is they forget about a Codex altogether and get the Blood Angels treatment.
I truly hope that they give rules for inquisition armies as soon as possible. A new codex would be nice, but even giving inquisition players the BA treatment would be nice. If however they do drop the inquisition from being a legal army I think too many players will be unhappy. After all sisters, grey knights, and inquisition armies have a large following.
Or we can hope for the ork treatment... no new codex for years... but tournament legality.
It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong.
Who are you to judge what is sane and what is not??
Well crap. I haven't even finished painting the ones that I have. Ah well... house rules are there for a reason.
Since they are armies from full codexes (unlike the lamented Lost and Damned) I'm sure we'll see a FAQ/Errata to updated them to something legal in 5th edition.
If not, I will take my 5 kilos of metal sisters, put them into a pilowcase, and bludgeon the CEO and Lead Designer until the change their minds. I bet I could take PayPal donations just from members of this board to pay for my airfare.
