This is a summary of all the rumours regarding the Hordes of Chaos book coming in Junes WD.
Can still take daemon or beast units as before but requires magic items will allow them to be used.
Largely remain unchanged, however the Mark of Khorne no longer generates dispell dice when given to units.
The Mark of Nurgle is also a lot cheaper than before.
The Mark of Tzeench can now be given to sorcerers which but it is now different to the mark given to chaos lords in that it gives them some form of a re-roll.
Chaos Lords/Exalted/Aspiring Champions
Remain pretty much unchanged.
Remain pretty much unchanged.
Chaos warriors are now a little cheaper than before and the price to make them chosen has also reduced in points.
These are pretty much unchanged. They cannot have marks.
New infantry unit. Statwise they are not a good as marauders but can have access to 2 handweapons and flails. They can be marked.
Are now a special choice.
Are now a special choice and a re also cheaper.
Is a rare choice.
Is a rare choice and has some pretty good fluff. Rumours of it being cheaper.
Largely the same but the marks they can be given are slightly different. More in line with the locus abilities of the daemonic heralds such as ASF (slaanesh), re-rolls to hit (khorne) and regeneration (nurgle).
Thanks. (Knights as special?! Curses.)
Cervantes: In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.
Hmm, their list of units looks tiny now ... Still, Cultists could be fun. I wonder if they have actually made any models for them, or if people will be left to decide on their own what to use. That could be cool, say deciding between Bret Peasants or Empire Troops, add some fluff back into lists and the game.
I did have a thought the other day, i wonder if Chaos Dwaves will be added to the MoC book in Nov. The Hellcannon is here already...

this sounds good to me shame is knights and chariots become special choices.
any idea if thier are changes to the maruder horsemen and warhounds or not yet.
Yes people i know that my spelling and punctuation is awful but I am product of British teaching pollicies so what can I do about it?
It is going to make the special choices very competitive, that is for sure.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Well one of the pictures in WD used converted flaggelants as cultists. Not really but they do gain some pretty sweet abilities from the marks.
Knights and chariots as special units sound like there wont be the "complementary" couple of units of knights.
Cultists sound really cool, very fluffy, and the fact that they can have marks meaning Tzeentch can get some cheap PD.
Hellcannon is back woohoo!!! I love the model, the fluff and the rules. It just screams chaos.
I wonder who will be the special characters, by the way the current army books (and codices) are going I guess there will be about 8...for each god...and undivided...and Archaon.
What is MoC? Is that what the new book will be called?
Good job JvK

Eh, I don't believe any of this aside from the Knights and Chariots being moved to special
