While I have lifted this information wholesale from Bell of Lost Souls (whom I can't recommend enough to be honest), I haven't seen it posted anywhere on LO yet, so without further ado, here are the Collector's and Player's Editions of 40k 5th Edition, for your delibreration and delectation:
Personally I'll be going for the Gamer's Edition, all those shiny tokens and the crate made my eyes light up... plus I love "danger of pre-detonation if used unblessed" too much to pass up on it!
According to BoLS both will retail for $90... Him-on-Terra knows what that will equate to in other countries though (probably £90 knowing my luck).
P.S. Apologies if the images are too big, I couldn't find the rules for images in the Rules section (which I found quite bizarre).
Edit: I've just realised I forgot to mention that the ammo crate is also a miniature carrying case, with foam inserts and everything!
What in the name of Tau are all those counters for?!?!
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.

I'm in for the gamer's edition, fo sho.
Those counters are not for some camplain expansion thingy like that thing they made for Warhammer?
That or they could be decorations for units (possbily a little bias here?)
Or Symbols to represent stuff on the battlefield - I have been wishing for GW to release mini dice (like they used to with the old titan legions boxed game) for health counters for my nids!

Well I'm imagining markers to help us keep track which units have run, popped smoke, been broken or pinned (maybe for concealed units as well?) or so on, as well as some objective markers, and I think the mechanicus icon is probably some type of turn counter.
Anyone who owned 40k 2nd Edition will fondly recall the several thousand counters that came with it (ahh... Overwatch).
Much as I want that ammo case with the wanring on the side. The vast horde of models in the starter set swings it for me I'm afraid.
That and I dont have much money at all.
The name refers to facial hair, not playing style.Originally Posted by A news vendor's stand, London, June 1940
Over here in WA. I've already ordered the gamers addition. They told me the things that came with it where 'counters'. other then that I got nothing. Oh yes, and it was $90.
