marginally off-topic, but still about SW: What squads can take Combat/Storm Shields? reason: i'm thinking of doing a celtic-themed SW successor chapter, and was wondering whether to go with Codex SM or Codex SW. please forgive my off-topicness and cheers! |

And the only ones that can take Storm Shields are ICs and Wolf Guard (Bodyguard and Vet. Sgt. Equivalents)

Its not that bad, the models contacted by the enemy will have 1 + 1 attacks for True Grit, and those force to counter charge 1 + 1 for charging. So it balances out , and after the first round, true grit for everyone. Just make sure your powerfist equipped wolves are the ones who get the countercharge, or they will only get 1 attack! As for Heavies, I do not expect them to appear in Grey Hunter squads as that makes no sense, I meant that the cost of weapons on vehicles, Long fangs, and special weapons everywhere will probably change to closer match marines. (ie plasma and lascannons will be 200 points)

Im guessing that the cost of special weapons in squads will mirror the marine/choas codex (we all know how many points plasma guns/pistols and powerfists are) and the cost of transports will be brought in line with the marine codex as well. Furious charge for bloodclaws and a huge reduction in the wargear section sounds about right. Not sure if the bloodclaw/grey hunter box sets are still generally available-if they are i dont see much reason to redo them as they were great in the first place. |

I THINK OTHER WISE special weapons will be a marginally cheaper and heavy weapons will be considerably more expensive due to the nature of space wolfs
