Thats a multimelta, though I agree the nozzles do look like old school flamers.
The wires and the thing on the side say Multi-melta though..
Arch Overfiend & Grand Despot
I currently play:
Doom Eagle Space Marines
Hive Fleet Omega Tyranids
Goff Ork Boyz(dead)
Tau of O'me
Inquisitorial Xeno Hunters
and my attempted foray into fantasy
'Dark Angel Green' Dark Elves in need of fluff
I agree. I think it's the graded shading on the near edges of the melta nozzles that give a but of false perspective when viewed from the front.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
The Marine's HW has nozzles from an old version of a flamethrower.
I might be a n00b, but I've seen enough pre-3rd edition models to recognize a few things.
its a multimelta body with flamer nozzles. same pic from the book
Prizewinner here: the Catchans with demo charges photo on their sales website showed a catchan with a shotgun (converted). I bought the fricking things to go in Shaeffers Last chancers (With shotgun specifically in mind) and... dissappointment.
The backpack, main body and wiring look alot like a multimelta to me. the nozzles look different mind, but they also do on the flamer in that squad - maybe the owner likes converting them (I drill my bolts, and insert a acrylic shard in plasma weaponry nowdays - someone doing round tipped nozzles for melta's isn't too far out - it looks a bit like a carborettor injection nozzle from a engine (that sprays fuel)
