Has anyone heard rumors about SM sargeants being able to take dual powerfists (to get the extra attack) in the upcoming codex? And more importantly, how many points it would cost? I'm trying to get my Imperial Fists ready for the next codex, I'm wondering if I will have to start swapping out arms.
haven't heard of this but 2 powerfists on a vet sarg sounds far 2 expensive to be worth it - i mean twin lightening claws on a sarg costs 60points total and thats 20pts more than a termi
I think power weapons and bolt pistols or powerfists and bolters will become the ultimate combos now - take a look at the hard core ness of the sternguard vet sarg
On a side note dual lightening claws does not cost 60 points! Re read your codex and you may be over joyed.
No, he simply meant that a Veteran Sergeant with twin Lightning Claws is 60 points. The point is that an Assault Terminator with the same number of attacks and better defense is only 2/3 the points! Plus, focusing more of the same thing in one squad clarifies the role of that thing and almost always yields better results for the same expenditure.
...What I mean is that a Veteran Sergeant with twin Lightning Claws isn't really worth the points, so one with 2 Power Fists really wouldn't be (I'm just agreeing with what was already said though). Seriously, it's only one attack - don't pay an extra 25 points just because you want to have one more attack again.
The above is a monument to my ineptitude at signature customization!
Why would you want to have 2 powerfists for a single extra attack? rather just take a veteran squad with 2 or more fists, 25 points for ONE more attacks is too much, just give him meltaboms (if marines can take them)
