if pro is the opposite of con, does that mean progress is the opposite of congress?
Just like me.
I AM BOOMER!
in terms of paint quality yes, but not colour choice. i think the armour is a terrible representation of a champion of slaanesh. if i do get and paint this model i would definitely not follow that picture
Well, you may not agree with the artist's colours of choice, but he is supposed to look "magnificent" on the outside, so golden is kinda natural (even if it wouldn't be my colour of choice either). I think that the point of this miniature is that his looks are deceiving, after all.
But I concurr, their painting skills have vastly improved. I like the use of NMM very much, it reminds me of Rackham's minis.
As you can tell his name is Sigvald. He is the son of a King who prayed to whatever gods would listen to geve him a son (he had only daughters so far.). Sigvald was born and he pretty much lived a charmed life.
No breeze would ever ruffle his hair, no cloud would ever darken the sky when he went outside. In battle no enemy could ever harm him.
His good looks and charm earned him the love of his people. However under the thin veneer of charm and grace he was a vain, arrogant, sadistic monster. No pleasure was to be denied him however extreme and as such he began to fall under the sway of Slaanesh.
He'd be a good enough model to use as a pre heresy Emperors Children model, or even a current blood angel captain, shield icon excepted. (is that a slaanesh icon I spy on his shoulder?)
Regardless, nice mini and probably suitable for both WH40k and WHFB.
I can't say I've seen it all but I live for the things that keep me hollow.
He is going to turn up in a lot of armies. Vampire Lord, Dark Elf Dreadlord, High Elf Prince, Brettonian Duke on foot, Empire captain the list goes on.
This appears to be one of those rare ubiquitous models that GW produce once in a while.
