What kind of logic is that?

Surely it is they do not get the new variants as there is no mention of them in the codex?

If the variants were upgrades to the Land Raider, then yes you could argue that.
As is they have access only to the normal one.

The SW FAQ happily states that we get all the Land Raider and Dreadnought varients except for Venerable Dreadnoughts from the new SM book. It says that right where it states that SW use the SM book point values for all vehicles except for Rhinos and Razorbacks, and it says SW use the SM book rules for all vehicles.

So pretty much SW don't have many of the troubles DA and BA have, though they do have some of their own (like massively overpriced bikes and jet packs).

I stand corrected, hadn't seen the FAQ until after I commented.

The new codex out soon should sort out all the issues they have.
