hehe, and i thought i was going to be buying some guard tanks.

the termie models look absolutely amazing. and it does give the hint of some blood angel love.

either way, ive preordered mine and am waiting for the ok to preorder a second.

@kithrie how can you afford to spend 1200 USD on space hulk boxes??

I bought two sets-- one I will paint and offer on ebay the other I will keep sealed

Yaaaay! This is so exciting, I'm literally bouncing up and down in the office. I've just pre-ordered three Space Hulk boxed sets, but I'm starting to think maybe I should get another one, if only to stick it up on eBay in 6 months time.

Now all we need is a re-release of Gorkamorka and I'll take back everything bad I ever said about GW.

Just ordered mine from the website along with the new book that's coming out on same day, it's a Gav Thorpe book so it should be good. Im going to paint both the Termi's and Stealers and surprise my brother when he comes over for xmas. Gonna ask if he'd like to have a game of SpaceHulk

I called my source a liar when i got a text last night telling me to get on the GW website at 9am to buy SpaceHulk, and when i logged on and a pop up with a background of stars appeared i knew he wasn't telling tales!

pre-ordered mine straight away, roll on 5th September!

Bases- the 'what size base' question is answered with 'none of the above'. there doesn't appear to be a standard base but they instead have smaller squarish bases. Won't be too much trouble to transfer them to 40k if you wanted.

Pre-painted? Doesn't look like it. Precoloured plastic (red for BAs, blue for 'stealers) seems to be as close as it got, luckily).

Plastic tiles? I can't tell, although the thickness of the counters makes me think it's plastic.

Rules- looks like a return to 1st ed, by and large. Gone are the smaller 12 shot flamer counters and the big 6 shot is back. Looks like there's rules for an assault cannon in there too. Staring at the models makes me think there's a thunderhammer in there as well. Timer is back too.

Apart from that we're looking at the traditional rulebook plus mission book, blip counters and tiles etc.

Even if the rules have changed, everything is there to play the older editions if you choose to.
I agree with everything except imo the tiles are cardboard, albeit very thick card, i reckon this as GW would of mentioned if they were plastic i reckon, and they are the same thickness as the counters, having said that GW counters have been plastic for a while now, hmmmmmmmmmmm......... i hope your right, as plastic would be better, but we shall see
    Back in the zone!

It says on the GW website that the tiles are thick, debossed card.

Opposing them are 22 Genestealers. And a Broodlord.

Oh, and the Space Hulk itself is massive. We counted 10 rooms, 24 corridors, 8 T-Junctions, 6 corners, 8 end sections, 9 crossroads (including an offset one) and 20 doors (all with detailed plastic stands). All the floor sections are debossed and varnished on very dense card as are all the counters.

Plastic corridors and rooms would have been nice but it still looks like (as Shakin' Stevens would say) lovely stuff!

I have just phoned and forced my mother to order it for me for my birthday! Emotional blackmail? Maybe but hey, it's SPACE HULK!

I guess I'm the only guy in the 40k community who doesn't get it. What's the big attraction to this game? Why would I buy it after spending scads of money on regular 40k? Can someone clue me in?
