excellent! lovely fiancee put down an order, but I'll have to wait till Christmas to get my hands on it =) Should give me time to finish at least part of the other crap I've piled up...

It just sucks that they ran out of the web-exclusive SM Sergeant.

After looking on YouTube for the official GW trailer (just to see what it was like really) I found this blast from the past. Did anyone else play this? Used to scare the pants off me as a kid.

Saw it today. The store was full of younger hobbyists, so no chance of a game with the demo copy, I could barely get to the table for a look. One of the staffers barged through the players to fetch a few of the figures for me to look at. Everything you have been told about them is true. The terminators are absolutely fantastic with a level of detail i've never seen before. Same for the bugs, but i dont know jack about tyrannids. The librarian is descending a couple of steps and is out of this world. Never played space hulk before, but all the accessories for the game looked top quality too.

    Did i order a copy ?

    Oh yes.

The store manager set up an account for me there and then and reserved or whatever a copy for me (cant access GW site from work pc) as well as sorting me out with another thirty quids worth of absolutely essential collector models and bitz i didnt know i needed. I can pick it up in a couple of weeks.

After he had taken my money, he told me GW were swamped with orders for space hulk already and there was some concern about stock levels. Not a sales ploy he already had my cash. If your thinking of getting this i wouldnt hang about. £60 is a lot of wedge but, in my opinion, this is worth every penny.

My FLGS has sold out of their preorder allocation! It doesn't even ship for three weeks! AFG, Chenyboy and I all have our names down for a copy, I believe.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!

It's insane (though 3 out of 5 to LO isn't so bad). GW could get very rich if they produced a bit more and still marketed it as "limited".

    Now, roll on the 5th...

I wasn't into the hobby at the time that Space Hulk was in circulation, I've never played it and as such didn't feel that "must have it" rush that a lot of my peers felt.

However, having played the first scenario as both Blood Angels (I won!) and Tyranids (I won again!) I can see what all the hype was about. Oh yes.

Put down 2 deposits and was half way home before I remembered I only went in to get some Grail Knights... I'm playing with one box and using the tiles from the other to build up some massive games, selling the Genestealers and then sticking the Terminators in my Space Marines!
