Now i don't know if this thread already exists, but i don't fancy looking through 68 pages.
Does anybody have any news on the FW Lord of Change. I know it is out this year, and i also know that the designer only works on weekends now(?, or something else that would make it take forever.
I spoke with FW the other day when I was getting an eta on my BSoK.. The Lord of Change model is apparently sculpted and with the chaps in Nottingham.. However, there is absolutely no ETA on this as there is some issue with casting the original.. I was told the best course of action was to go to the FW open day that is penciled for the beginning of April (not confirmed).
The scuplter actually now works for WETA, the folks that brought you Lord of the Rings etc etc.. So yes he's only working on FW stuff in his free time.. so cudos to him
I also know that they have plans to release new stuff to coincide with the 3rd part of the Siege of Varaks.. the message from the customer services chap from FW was
'Its going to get a lot worse for both sides'.. Not sure what that means exactly.. but i'm hoping for some Daemonic Engines.. please please please.. a Lord of Battle!!!!!
If it's anything as good as the previous models, it's gonna be delicious!
I agree with Matus, the current lord of change looks like a frail weakling.
While waiting for the forgeworld mega daemon of Tzeentch, someone brought my attention to Ultraforge Miniatures
These guys make large daemons and some of them are in the flavour of GW games although of course they are sufficiently different and all that copywright stuff.
They have just released (for pre order) a plague Daemon and a Vulture Daemon
and I thought this would be a good model to use as the fateweaver. Size wise I think their daemons are larger than the GW ones but smaller than the Forgeworld designs.
