A buddy of mine happens to have a GW that he manages, and was kind enough to do a write-up of the in-store planetstrike preview book.
Huge thanks to him for doing this!Originally Posted by Santiago

Wow sounds great! I wasnt much of a big fan of apocalypse, so hopefully this expansion and its rules will be a bit better.
Space Wolves (Under Construction) | Circle of Orboros (Under Construction)
Daemon players will be so damned happy.if the unit normally has Deep Strike it can assault the turn it lands.
Holy crap assaulting deepstriking archons on skyboards.
Sounds interesting and would definitely be a good idea for campaigns. Thanks for sharing Zee.
I just built one of the bastions and aegis defence lines today. The aegis is fine if a little boring. It really is just a barricade. It comes with a quad-autocannon mount though, which is pretty neat and I can see it becoming the standard Hydra until one is released.
The bastion itself is quite cool if a little fiddly to put together- which is odd given that it's little more than a plastic box. It has a mounted lascannon with all sorts of nifty extra tech stuff which will appreciated by those with a mechanicum bend.
It's possible to put the thing together with the middle floor not glued in place. This lets you either have a short squat, one-level bunker that wouldn't go amiss in a regualr 40k game, or as a tower which looks much more formidable. Combining sets also looks easy and could make some really flash stuff. Took about 2 hours work to put both together, including cleaning up and waiting for glue to dry.
It would be a good place to start if anyone did want to own some defensive scenery.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
3 HQ's! I can finally make use of those extra sorcerer models I have.

While this seems to basically be some of the extra missions from the back of the 4th edition books put back into 5th, they seem to have bumped it up enough with enough other stuff to make it really cool. Also looks like an excuse to break out some of the bunker I made and start making some new scenery. Wonder if an Iron Chief: Planetstrike would be a cool idea?
Thanks to your mate!
