i recieved octobers white dwarf today, and in the news section it reads:
""If you go down in the woods today your sure for a big surprise... especially if its one of the dark woods that cover the old world." Not the traditional end to the rhyme, but its what certain games developers have been singing recently. What does it mean? find out in a few months time."
sounds like beast of chaos to me!
god yes let us hope it is true. They so very badly need updating.
Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat
IIRC BoC bray, not sing. On the other hand, Wood Elves have spellsingers and they also live in the dark woods that cover the old world.
BoC seems a bit more likely as they really need a new book, but the singing part makes me think more about wood elves than beasts.

Beastmen can sing, that is ignorant to think otherwise. Besides Wood Elves are fine, no one is really clamoring for them to get a new book. Hippies are alright as is.
My first thought when I read that was also Wood Elves.
But I do agree with Stunted_Merc, beastmen are in dire need and they would be in dark woods and give you quite a surprise. As to their singing, I have no say on that matter.

also thought wood elves first, but they only live in the forest of loren, boc are found in lots of forests. also rumors for BoC have been going around for a while
Beasties are the last of the chaos family - it seems logical that they would try and wrap them up, they're horribly stunted currently and are one of the more in need fantasy armies for an update.
Wood Elves are still a powerful force to be reckoned with and while minor tuning may be required to keep them in line with the latest armybooks, a haul simply isn't neccessary at this stage for them.
There are five Beast Herd boxes, 2 heroes, a shaman, and a chariot in boxes sitting in my closet (tournament winnings). I plan on picking up a bit more in the coming months. I am so ready for the new Beasts box to drop!
somehow, that strikes me more as Boc than WE. Besides, BoC has been in the rumour mill anyhoo.especially if its one of the dark woods that cover the old world.
Yeeeh for mutated goat people!
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
