I just read those guys made the LEGO BIONICLE trilogy. Not sure of that's good or not...

Dammit, now I'll have to see those and decide for myself.

The amusing thing is that there are two threads about this movie and both of them have a misspelling in the title.

I couldn't agree more! Inquisition characters would provide plenty of depth without worrying about being too human. If anything, Astartes should be secondary to the main characters and remain aloof and sinister so as to highlight their inhumanity and preserve their mythos.

I'm not exited about this movie. They didn't list any producer, director of film company. Its going to be an hour long and crap. Any one see the roughneck movies about Starship Trooper.

I'm most likely not going to watch this.

Are you talking about the animated Starship troopers(yes there is such a thing) that was closer to the book then that other assnite of a spectacle...It's by the guys who made Bionicle so i bet it will atleast be decent, i used to watch those movies and they were pretty decent granted it was just to give the product a story. So i can expect it to atleast given more thought then the average SM Novel

Introducing Ultramarines – A Warhammer 40,000 Movie!

27 September 2009
For the first time, Games Workshop’s globally renowned Warhammer 40,000 universe is to be realised in a feature-length movie on DVD.
Ultramarines is a 70-minute sci-fi thriller that will use CGI and state-of-the-art animation production techniques. Games Workshop is delighted to be working with UK-based production company Codex Pictures, who have the momentous task of bringing the Warhammer 40,000 universe to the screen.
Commenting on the news, Erik Mogensen, Licensing and Acquired Rights Manager for Games Workshop, said, “Over the years, we have been approached again and again by all sorts of producers and film companies wanting to take our intellectual property to the screen. We have always believed that, in the right hands, the stories, themes and characters from the Warhammer 40,000 universe would lend themselves perfectly to the movie genre. We’re working closely with the talented team at Codex Pictures, who have an excellent understanding of the Warhammer 40,000 intellectual property and an inspired vision for the movie. We can’t wait to see our universe come to life on-screen.”
“We’re hugely honoured to be making Ultramarines,” said a spokesman for Codex Pictures. “It’s taken a lot of research and development to get to this stage – and it’s such an exciting challenge to be able to bring the depth and power of the Warhammer 40,000 universe to a brand new medium.”
News of the production of a movie was unveiled at UK Games Day, the biggest event in the Games Workshop calendar, on Sunday, September 27 2009.

from the codexpictures.com site, the bionicle guys

I have faith in this. I'd really like to see a good adaptation of warhammer on the screen, not just stuff with warhammer slapped on it and done.

I am not intrested in this. No plot - filled with Ultramarines with bolters...

The best story would be a story of someone slowly getting corrupted by chaos
