analyise this and analyse that were great moves. I splelt that wrong. twice. I even spelled spelled wrong. I also said move instead of movies.
I always thought they meant 4 new races for vanilla 40k (not included apoc). In the list there is 6 species which are new (minus the alpha versions), that's Brood Magus, Trygon, Gargoyle, Malantrope, Exocrene and Hierodule.
An increase in I on the carnies is something i could belive. Otherwise we wont see a lot of carnies in GT because of the SW. I think Kelly when he wrote the SW-codex had to know something about how the carnies would come up in their new codex.
Doesn't it mean armour save and invulnerable save ?
Knowing that out belowed SW Ragnar has 7A on the charge, i could see a Broodlord Alpha between 7-10 attacks. Even then 10 is a little high. Have to agree on the other "problems".
???
In the end i totally agree that the list seems unlikely. But man would it have been fun to be a xeno if it was true....

I'm calling fake on that list as well, some of those beasties would be in the 400+ point range, and that's something that just isn't done anymore before gear (seriously, 10 attacks on the charge from a MC is just not right). As said above, a T8 8-wound model is also unlikely in the extreme to ever be made, as it cannot be wounded by bolters, thus making it completely immune to 90% of the weapons in the 40k universe.
I fight for the Greater Good. Too bad for you it's MY Greater Good.
Snow Forces of T'olku W/L/D : 3-4-2... I like to think I'm learning, though.
^Actually a brood magus would be. There is a genestealer cult magus and there is a Patriarch. While a brood magus sounds a bit like a patriarch, why wouldn't they just call it a patriarch?

Nevermind that The Dude has done many rumor threads and does a very good job with them. Besides a lot of these rumors don't seem that credible. Personally I agree with him that many aren't worth putting in the first post because they just don't seem likely.
A cult magus though wouldn't appear in a nid army. They either get sent off to take part in more cults or they jump into the digestion pools. Either way they wouldn't be showing up.

Oh, yeah. That list is absolutely and unequivocally crap. The Hive Tyrant Alpha's statline is more than enough to make me ignore the rest of the list. A creature like that would take an entire army's concentrated antitank fire 4 turns to effectively kill. Something like that would easily be 400-600 points or more. Also, Venom Cannon getting 2x shots? Not a chance. On a Tyrant Alpha, that'd be 12 STR 10 (str 12, technically) shots (at BS5, no less), meaning it could instagib a Land Raider in one go. Not a chance. The rest of the list is a crock, too. Codex Creep exists, sure. I play Tau and it's getting to be very sad these days, as the Guard table me repeatedly, but this is obvious overkill. It's good for a laugh, though, I guess.
I'm stoked about the new rumors and dex, whatever it turns out to be.
I think the folks at warseer need a definition of rumors, though. All I can imagine is that they wanted the same people/person (Dude) who was doing a great job w/ rumor threads (truly) to keep doing them, and maybe got a lil peeved that someone else was doing it ... wouldn't have been wrong to just say that though, and maintain some credibility.
There's a difference between rumors and confirmations. Fortunately most of the forums on the subject out there are actually keeping their threads full of RUMORS (and the few confirmations we have) alive, so we can just use them and scratch warseer off the list of "sites to visit." Saves me some time.
As for the above list, it looks like a playtester in early phases at best, with some apoc units thrown in. I suppose the alphas could be special characters, but boy would they be expensive points wise ...
Rumors are by definition often just wishful thinking, and at best are just hearsay ... anything that's "official" isn't a rumor at all, so I don't get why there needs to be that tight a control on 'em. Besides, look at all the wonderful internet conversation that nid summary has generated? Entertainment for all.

You really have to apply salt to those latest round of rumours.... maybe some sort of hallucinagenic drug as well to actually try and believe it.
If some of those rumours of psykers are true, I really would like some anti psyker stuff for my CSMs and IG... and when necrons come out, maybe some cheaper anti psyker for them too.
I do like the sound of a Malanthrope type nid below apoc level. I found the malanthrope to be generally a great nid image... a giant floating monster standing above a thousand tiny rat-like eating machines tearing everything apart in their path.
Do we know who is writing the codex?
Edit: Whoops... missed it on the first post.
I think its gonna turn out great... it was a good job on the IG army book.
If anyone believes on telekinesis, raise my hand!!
